In the UK we literally just need to put the cheque into a (bank-based) cashpoint machine and it transfers to our account. Using an app, you don't even need to bring in the physical cheque, apparently (I've never done that). Speed? 1-2 days max (they say). North America seems a harsh place to bank.

I just want to say that this is exaggerated, but accurate AND it's based on actual statistical data. Multi-millionaires almost always pay their $250k line of credit and poor lucking people very few times (<5% of the times) bring stolen checks.

My parent's struggled most of the time through my memory living at home. After my father's parents passed away and they inherited a decent amount of money, suddenly they were treated as VIP (like actually)

I'd love to join your patreon, but my bank won't let me. They told me I have to have 5 forms of government id, my dental records, full medical history, and my birth certificate!! I'm sorry!!

Oh so you still have irl banking in America. Here in the UK most local branches have closed and you have to do everything online. Have fun trying to take the perfect picture of your cheque to meet the apps requirements 😅

As a rich person, I can attest to the fact that REAL rich people do NOT dress like the one in the skit! In fact the more we look like Homeless People the better!!!!

Lol, It is like this for a reason 😂 When line of credit is extended too generously to people without wealth, you get unstable ❤questionable loans and speculation leading to economic collapse, like NINJA loans leading to collapse in the GFC and the dust bowl in the great depression. Then the government gives everyone free money stimulus checks and inflation, money printer goes brrr, and inflation wrecks purchasing power.

Does Julie own a time machine? Because that is the only way I can think of that she could go to a place where checks still existed.
Next I bet she will take up her flip phone, thats the size of a brick, and talk about that new pop band from England "Spies Girls"

40% off Ground News? Is that because the ad took up 40% of the video? ;P

But yes, the video is funny bc it's basically true. Anything to do with money is more of a struggle the less you have of it. They'll take it immediately, but take two weeks to refund you, or credit your account…The interest they make (on YOUR money) must be astronomical

My closest experience to this is being a bank teller and some guy walks up and casually want to deposit hie check. No lie…1M. I never thought Id see that number in real life. Unfortunately it wasn't for me😟

Ooh, I like politically spicy Julie.

So in Denver, minimum wage is lower and the sales taxes are much lower in the rich suburbs. The rich people who live there pretty much all work in the city. Also, in those suburbs, you pretty much have to drive your car to the store, but no one cares if you bring your backpack in. (I use my backpack for being a responsible citizen and not using plastic bags, also it used to be the only way to get my groceries home when I used my bike for everything). However, if you live in the city, most grocery stores won't let you bring a bag into the store and they don't have a place for you to put it. So basically, riding a bike or taking transit was not an option if I was going to be out for the day and wanted to carry a water bottle or my laptop or something.

Once I was even banned from a gas station for arguing about carrying my camera bag into the store (didn't want to leave the expensive camera on the front seat of the car) in a poor neighborhood.

Also, when making deliveries, there were times that rich people had signs like "walk past this point and you'll be shot" but the delivery directions said "front door." That was fun too.

Please tell me you've seen the Tiktoks of that Rich Couple

Wife – "I found out the kids are having some sort of fundraiser."
Husband – "A fundraiser? Are you saying Fun? or Fund?"
    W: Fund
    H: There's a fundraiser at the school
W: There's a fundraiser at Sebastian's school…And they've asked us to donate or bake something or something
H: To the school that we pay for
W: Well I thought it was a charity not for the school
H: But why are we doing a fundraiser? We already pay for them to go to the school.
    W:But it's a fundraiser for a charity, right?
H: No, the charity is the school
    W: That we pay for
    H: Right
    W: Absolutely not.
H: The school should be funded
W: It's most expensive school in the state. And they want us to dress up and go to some gala
H:There's only one gala I'll get dressed up for and it's the Met Gala.
W: I think we should pull him out of school. I've been saying this for years
H: I'm still like laughing that we're doing the fundraiser for the school that we already pay for.
