    It’s called the death zone because you cannot survive above 8000 meters for long unless on supplemental oxygen… NOT because so many people die there. Multiple people have made it in and out without oxygen but they are actively dying while doing so… ie the reason it’s called the death zone…

    On if we think if people should help each others in those stories… Sorry but you can't say they should feel obligated to help each others.

    Savin a life is indeed a great action, but only the theme of the video is saying how deadly the climb is, how important it is to be prepared.
    Everyone up here is knowing the risks, as it's said, some refuse beforehand to be taken down if something happens to them.

    Being entitled of others help is no less that attempt m*rder, if not successful (despite you probably not being there anymore)

    It's hard to feel any sympathy for these people because there's absolutely no reason to ever climb Everest. Just like there's no reason to ever go into caves, and no reason to play Russian Roulette.

    I have done some stupid climbs when I was younger but I am nowhere near stupid enough to do Everest. Nor am I wealthy enough.

    Honestly if I died doing something remarkable fucking leave me there as a monument to my attempt, why in gods name would anyone seeking to scale to the edge of heaven wish to be removed and buried in a boring ass graveyard.
