Wait so you think it's such acceptable for young kids to be read to by drag queens? And in those same sessions they are dancing like strippers and getting the children to come up there and dance and putting dollar bills in their pants and things like that Yeah that's totally acceptable.

Ernest was very sick at the time of the filming of "Ernest Goes to Africa." It's evident in his movement, and he wasn't old. It's really sad. I recently found that out on an MST3K marathon channel here on YouTube.

Jim being from here in Lexington, KY, my mom & dad knew of him before he blew up. My dad looked like Ernest if he wore glassesI, both died at 50, from Central KY & loved denim. I found out Jim was a really talented Shakespeare Stage Actor. Who'd thought all that Shakespeare was only Jim training for Ernest character 😂

I have so many funny memories of this movie. I remember telling kids in high school about this movie and they asked me the funniest questions about it. One kid asked, "Were there any black people in the movie?" Another kid asked, "Is Ernest a n*****?" I said, "No. Why would you ask that?" The kid replied, "Why else would he want to go to Africa?" Some kids thought this movie was tied to Kony 2012 and Ernest was our last line of defense against Joseph Kony. I imagine Ernest confronts Joe Kony and says, "You know Joe, doing crimes is one thing but the real crime is that you are not drinking Purity Orange Juice. It is loaded with all the vitamins and minerals you need for your day to day activities."
