This was one of those movies I saw at a sleepover when I was a kid. My friend who showed it to us thought it was hilarious. I kept thinking, “ I don’t think I’m supposed to watching this!”

Why do they keep saying "in her mind, Fred is doing it," and that this is all in her head?
Haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I don't remember the movie ever implying this was all in her head, rather other people didn't believe her.
Fred was an imaginary friend only she could see, but he interacted with things in the real world all the time without her moving or participating in any way.

Funny 😂 it's actually a comedy take on what happens to children that has an unloving narcissistic parent. The parent is seen cutting her hair and later seen dressing her . Basically controlling every aspect of her life. A narcissist can't feel love. They only feel greed and envy. The poor child is not aloud to be a child. It causes C.P.T.S.D. that reappears in later life when a similar feeling of being unwanted and unloved emerges. Great film.
