Disturbed Breaks Silence After Concert Ban

Rock Feed | March 28, 2026

Disturbed’s concert in Brussels has officially been cancelled by local authorities — and now, the band has broken their silence.

The show, scheduled for October 15th, was shut down by police order over “safety concerns,” after controversy erupted around frontman David Draiman’s outspoken support for Israel and a photo showing him signing an artillery shell. The local mayor called it a “moral problem” and pushed to stop the event amid fears of protests.

In my opinion it was the right thing to do and I wish we had more officials like this. Living in the EU you have to deal with many silly reasons for concerts bans for decades (Manson e.g. had been banned a lot of times for child protection etc.). But this is one of the first times me and all of the people I spoke to fully agree. You don't support an ongoing military conflict and hope nobody would care. We have a proverb for this: "Stupidity must be punished" (He could support whatever he whants but damn should he really have to make a foto an even publish it???). I was a big fan for many years and enjoyed the first 2-3 EU Tours but can't support artist who support killing human beings in this way!

The problem for me here is that this is an Israeli issue & it should not be made into a Jewish issue. The front man of Disturbeds actions are making it a Jewish issue & this brings Jews into disrepute & risks Jewish peoples safety as well.
The only connection that I am aware of is the fact that Israelis are Jewish & so is he.
I can't see him getting involved in the way that he did if we were talking about any other country besides Israel. He is trying to make it a race/racist issue when it shouldn't be. That is the only reason for doing what he did.
No one should be signing missiles regardless of witch country they belong to, which country they will be used on or who they will be used on. It's pretty depraved behaviour & why would anyone want to have anything to do with someone like that!

shame on everyone who contributed to the ban of the show. I seriously wanted to attend, It's a plane ride away from where I live though, I would've been seriously pissed off if I had bought a ticket before all of this shit happened. On top of that Megadeth was supposed to be the special guest. I piss on all those responsible for the show's ban, who cares what Draiman thinks, it's not about that, it's about people wanting to hear music, that should transcend all political beliefs
