Puritanical and Deathcult are pinacle albums of the 2000s. I don'tt even consider myself a Dimmu Borgir fan, but those are definitely S Tier albums, there are few Symphonic Metal albums that match their grandeur. Glad you put them both in perfection 🙂

PEM is the pinnacle. I still listen to it every now and again, fucking incredible album that transports me back to my teenage years.

I loved Abrahadabra at the time, but it's always a fleeting experience. Eonian feels disjointed – half is really strong, but the other half feels overbaked. The new album is for me, a bit longer than necessary, but the compositions have more flow and feel more natural, like their '90s efforts. I do not miss Galder on this one, but vocally, yeah, it needed more variety.

The original Stormblast is slightly higher than perfection.
    Are you kidding me ?
Also, never liked In Sorte Diaboli, it’s just an okay release.
Can’t wait to listen the new one tomorrow.

They are def "gateway band" but I think they are good for what it is and I always liked Stormblast to DCA run. Not much after Death Cult Armageddon does much to me and I don't expect much from upcoming album but still.

    Satyricon next please. 🙏
You have pretty much reviewed half of their records already in past videos, and it seems less and less likely that they will release more new material anyway.

Magnum are my favourite band and I had to double check when I first popped in stormblast 😂

However maligned they are and maybe deserved I think enthroned and spiritual are just amazing and I thank them for enriching my musical listening on those two alone

I remember getting a code off of a box of frosted shredded wheats for a download code and used it on The Serpentine Offering. 😆What a wild time! Great ranking 🤘

The 2 albums that I go back to with Dimmu Borgir are Enthroned Darkness Triumphant and Death Cult Armageddon. I really should give Spiritual Black Dimensions a full listen. I have to mention, the track name on EDT is Mourning Palace, I heard you say Mourning Place lol.

Nice ranking. Death Cult is my no.1 amazing. Puritanical and Spiritual Black Dimensions are excellent too. For All Tid, Abrahadabra and Eonian are pretty good. The rest are ok but I don't listen to them so much. Not sure about the new one, need to listen more I think. As you say they miss ICS Vortex.

I kinda stopped paying attention after In Sorte Diaboli. I didn't care much for Abrahadabra, but it's been quite a long time since I listened to it, so maybe I'll give it another go. Honestly I'm more excited to get a new Old Man's Child record.

ABRACADABRA and Eionan are okay, For All Tid, In Sorte Diaboli and Stormblast are solid but Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia will always be my favorite but other favorites include Death Cult Armageddon, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant and Spiritual Black Dimensions.

Good to see some love for Abrahadabra!
I never gave it a chance when it first released, but then a handful of years ago I revisited it and realized that it was a really great album with some incredible songwriting!
