Torra is perfect for QR. He’s not good for Skid Row.

I really disagree with this John Torra guy. His look is poor at best. And, his vocals are pitchy. He can hit the notes but does so without power. The bubble is gonna burst and I’m surprised he ever got any attention.

No growing pains lets remember his band Fire N Ice has played the strip as far back as last year and in some cases headlined
There was never a doubt about whether he could handle the stage having watched him perform on both coast

Writing this rigth before watching the video… Yes they did drop the ball, they (SR) have way bigger hits and a much bigger fan base than QR

He is Kevin Dubrow incarnate! There is no better fit for John than with Quiet Riot! So thank goodness Skid Row passed on him because that gave us our beloved Quiet Riot back!

I think you guys hit the nail in the head. And this is no slight against skid Row, but I think they want somebody that physically looks the part for skid Row as being a portly man myself, I love seeing John get an opportunity to front a band like Quiet Riot. Or even given the opportunity

I think the weight conversation is much ado about nothing. That face is beautiful and radiates joy. His generation are much more accepting than ours anyway.

No…HE WORKS GREAT W QUIET RIOT. Not skid row…NOBODY WORKS FOR SKID ROW…NOBODY BUT a 20 yr old Sebastian bach. Cuz he can't even sing like his young self anymore. And should just stop. WERE ALL OLD NOW. The party has been over now for yrs. Jon works great w quiet riot. Not skid row.

He got lucky there, could have been in that loser band. His morbid obesity actually worked in his favor that time. QR must have thought "yes, he's Meatloaf reincarnated, but who else sounds exactly like DuBrow without also being a DB like him?"

Tora diidn't sound like Bach to me. Howeverr, he sounded just like Dubrrow in the QR audition. I don't think SR made a miistake passing.

Skid said they couldn't work around Erik's health schedule because there would be too much down time. So Erik left/they got rid of him and instead took over two years off. Pfffft.

I hate to be that guy but in previous eras, most metal bands wouldn’t even look at the guy just based on his appearance…voice be damned…but, for the record, his voice is tremendous.
