I love Jim Henson I was born in the 70ās and raised in the 80ās on Sesame Street on PBS. My two favorite movies are Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal. Casting Bowie as Jareth was genius. Watching that movie as a kid made me appreciate David Bowie as a musician and an artist, so much so that when I turned 18 I trekked 6 hours to Austin Tx to watch him in concert, my first concert I ever attended.

I like to think if Jim Henson had never died as prematurely as he did, he's probably would've lived long enough to ensure that ignorant fool Bob Igor gave the Muppet the respect they deserved and not disregard them like an unwanted birthday gift.

Itās ironic, Jim made all those projects during the final years of his life, he tried to tell all the stories he could, leave as much of a legacy as he could, when the one thing that would do it was there all along, Kermit.

It just hit me: I would KILL for Defunctland to make another one of these biographical miniseries on the life and career of Michael Eisner! Thereās just SO MUCH to say about his extremely mixed legacy. Heās been an omnipresent force and a running joke for all of Defunctlandās existence, so it would be interesting to finally take a deep dive into his rise and fall. Granted, we sort of got a resolution to his story in the Hong Kong Disneyland video, but I think it would be immensely more satisfying to see the full picture.

Not sure if it's just Kevin's narration being really effective and projecting the necessary reverence, but it sounded like even he was struggling to hold it together at the end. And I don't blame him.

I was a child of the 80s. Literally, my teenage years began in 1990. I was the target audience for Henson and Disney. I consider myself so lucky to have been a child at that time. This video so got to me, especially the end. Leave it to him to have the most wonderful funeral ever. RIP Jim. Outstanding job, Defunctland. ā¤ļø

I will always remember watching Ironmouse's reaction to these documentaries (Unfortunately the vod is deleted on YouTube because of copyright) but man, she was shocked that Jim was coughing up blood and told her chat "Guys, if you ever feel ill, see a doctor. Don't hold off on it until its too late" and the moment Gonzo says "We were just starting to get to know him…" after everyone realizes Jim passed away, her reaction was "OMG… they aired this on TV? š¢"

Not going to lie this made me mad a Disney instead of understanding these are his characters his story they kept push and pushing they should have respected his wishes and they should have kept muppets 3D so many people told them that his was a bad idea they should be kept the muppets alive like Jim would have wanted instead they get rid of one of his last projects and say oh will make a roller coaster if they make anything they should make the great muppet movie ride they have the drawing Jim made but still they should have let muppet courtyard alone and just build monster Inc land or whatever were rock and rollercoster is

this video reignited my anger towards disney for removing muppet*vision 3d. not only was it henson's last project, it was also hunt's last project. i'm so glad i was able to see it in october last year, it was amazing, and i'm so sad that no one will be able to experience it again

I started with learning about one of my favorite shows, Fraggle Rock, followed through with learning about Muppet Babies, and landed here to only end up in tears š¢.
Thank you so much for creating these video's ā¤. I started to break when Big Bird walked out and couldn't stop tearing up as the show continued.
To be in that Cathedral with so much talent and love. Just Wow…what a tribute. When it's my time, I can only pray that I touch peoples lives in the same way. ⤠That was really something to watch ā¤.
