Coming up, the US Supreme Court upholds the Indian Child Welfare Act. A Native American has climbed Mount Everest for what’s believed to be the first time. We meet with Rapid City surgeon and climber Jacob Weasel. What’s the impact of the writers’ strike on Native content?
Jacob Weasel had a goal to inspire youth and he achieved it by making history. The Lakota surgeon is believed to be the first Native American to summit Mount Everest — and he did it for a good cause. He created the non-profit called the Wopila Project in order to raise money on his expedition to build a playground for Lakota kids in Rapid City, South Dakota, and to create health clinics for women in Nepal.
The Writer’s Guild of America has been on strike, which has paused work and productions. So how has this affected Native writers and content? ICT’s Paris Wise has the report from a recent event in partnership with FNX.

Native Indians have to start speaking out. TIME TO FIGHT BACK. Trump would have done more, had he won the election, He was the first President to try to help see to it medication and help got to Native Indians during the Pandemic. Yes, time to fight back. Would not put it past Biden start placing homes on Native Land to house of the Illegals, Many Illegals have been looking at the land , and some said that land will be theirs one day. Words heard while on a trip to AZ , UTAH , COLORADO, NM. and a few others. Strange because they said it and were not part of the group seen in another state.
