Could AYANEO’s GBA Clone Really Play PS2 Games? + More Retro News!
AYANEO has revealed the KONKR Pocket Advance, a modern retro handheld wrapped in the familiar horizontal shape of the original Game Boy Advance. With a widescreen display and the potential for far more powerful emulation than other GBA-style handhelds, could this little machine eventually handle systems like the PlayStation 2 and GameCube? There’s plenty to be excited about—but AYANEO still hasn’t revealed the processor, price, release date, or final performance specs.
Also this week, a Brazilian court orders Microsoft to restore a hacked gamer’s Xbox account and digital library, Mario Kart Wii is recompiled for PC with potential 4K support and more than 200 tracks, and the RPCS3 emulator passes the milestone of making over 75% of the PlayStation 3 library playable.
Plus, an unofficial Virtua Racing emulator brings Sega’s arcade classic to PC and Xbox with eight-player online racing, Evercade raises cartridge prices in the UK and Europe, Super Mario 64 somehow becomes “sort of” functional on the Panasonic 3DO, and Afterplay reveals that PSP and Dreamcast support are the most likely additions coming next to its browser-based emulation platform.

Afterplay is about one more console away from being a must have for me … GameCube. But I may get it before then, so I am excited to see that they continue to add more advanced emulators to their roster.
To be able to take a game and play it on my full sized oc powered Multicade, then to my handheld RG Cube (Android) anywhere in the house and even play a pickup of it in my iPhone when I’m out and about and have some time on my hands would be ideal.
And Evercade is still a great price despite the increase. (Thanks A.I. Datacenters Romageddon)

George, as a member of the GenXgrownup Holy Trinity, you continue to put out timely, informative and engaging content.I appreciate that you are not a carbon copy of Jon. The way you put together your topics and present them is nice because you dont follow a rigid script where you just read it. You keep our attention by the 'everyman' factor you do, this is good because it's a more honest take, like when you were doing your comics podcast. That said, if there is any way you could throw in a digital comic story once in a while, there are a legion of us that would absolutely eat that up.

A bit of insight on the brazilian case.
Here there is no such thibg as buying a license, if you buy software, it os yours to do as you please, including hacking (yes, DMCA is a USA o ly thibg, remember that).
Most EULA are considered invalid in courts because of that.
