Connecting the Manosphere
https://curiositystream.com/fdsignifier
In this video F.D continues examining the modern online manosphere by looking at several figures that shape what the manosphere is and what it is capable of. In this video F.D argues that the problem in the manosphere isn’t just it’s misogyny, but how it presents masculinity as a whole, and this aspect makes it more damaging to everyone else.

Kinda Funny that my point in the other video kinda still stand If the AOT fandom can defend the beating of a KID or someone who bash a KIDS head in with a bottle when he comes from the same system ,Then later down the road what does that say about the fandom when Eren actions are come to question?

1:21:24 I think you should talk more about that complex plot point that discusses the idea that Eren did not actually have free will over what he was doing.
Eren fundamentally wanted to commit genocide, but was horrified at the sight once he gained said sight through the founding titan by touching historia.
Eren knew at that point that it WAS going to happen and that he couldnt stop it.
He became a slave to the will of the founder and I personally believe his father is the real reason 80% of the world was killed.
I think Eren came to terms with the fact that his fathers wife was the one to eat his mother and all the circumstances that came with it.
I dont think Grisha was ever able to come to terms with what happened to his sister when they were children.

As a Kenyan man, it always fascinates me how things get racialized very quickly by Black Americans (and all Americans really). Not to say its a wrong perspective to have but it shows why being black in Africa is completely different from being black in America. I say this to address the fact that I didn't agree with F.D.'s take on JBP as mostly giving advice that only applies to cisgender white men who profit from the pro-White American system.
I have listened to Jordan Peterson for years now, and as much as I disagree with some of his political views (transphobia, conservative, and religious rhetoric), I have never, not even once, seen him as racist or racist-adjacent (ignorant to the plight of black people). At worst, he is just a guy who is comfortable in the capitalist democratic pro-religious society that the west has been in for centuries – and personally, I don't think that is a bad thing, and it doesn't make his views inherently wrong for black people to adopt. His advice is universal to young men across the world unless you happen to be trans or anti-religion.
Fighting to keep the status quo is not an inherently bad thing. In Kenya we have lots of people who have the same views as him and we are all black here. I mean, once you have had a 'stable' system for a long time, people learn to make the most out of that system and even succeed in it. So, as much as it is good to fight against hegemony so as to usher in new radical systems, I don't think its fair to vilify those who wish to keep the status quo – I may be wrong because I don't understand race issues in America that well, but from my POV as a black African man, Jordan Peterson's takes on masculinity are more than helpful and would highly recommend him to most young men (regardless of color) struggling with their identity as I once was.

Ik im late but ty! Ive been following aba and preach for a while as a way to broaden my perspective but for a while now i couldn't ignore how insidious it felt watching them and articulate why past "aba really loves to defend kevin Samuels, huh". And if you try to call it out they just pin your comment and always have some excuse to hide behind while the fans just dog pile on you. Not every comment was well thought out but it felt so hypocritical when looking at the type of people they critique. But they're just being "real".

1:21:05 I feel like AoT should have had a Devilman Crybaby style ending. Erin succeeds in destroying humanity, but is ultimately left with a destroyed planet, all his friends dead, and a crushing realisation that it was all for nothing and achieved nothing. The story should have ended on the futility of such actions.
@GreyWolf-yk5hl
July 10, 2026 at 8:40 am
I had to step away from this video for two years since you darn near spoiled the ending of attack on titan for me lol. Having finished the series I must say, the very ending took me out, like maybe I could understand that his friends would want honor his death, but why on earth does the show honor him in the end like he was some kind of hero!? He had the power to literally do anything other than what he did, and he chose to kill 80 – 85 percent of the population. Ontop of that he turned his home on the island into a crazy cult like fascist regime that worships him. It's wild! I truly don't understand how people could actually think he's the hero of the story. He destroyed his homeland from the inside' then he destroyed 85 percent of the world, all while forcing his friends to do unspeakable things. He's the Villain of the story and he always has been. I genuinely never liked him since the beginning of the story. Erwin, Levi, and Pixis were probably my favorite characters in the entire show. They were very idealized characters since leaders like them simply don't exist in the real world, especially in a regime. But that's probably why I liked them so much. But anyway, Eren is 100% The Villain of the story and should not have been honored by the show's ending after what he did.
Also, as an aside, I still don't understand what Mikasa had to do with the Ymir. Like the show said Ymir chose Mikasa for something, and that Mikasa's choose would determine everything or something or rather that had to do with Ymir wanting connection or yadda yadda. I don't understand, can someone explain it to me? It made no scenes.

You're doing incredible work, I was a person that gained a lot from Jordan Petersons earlier work. It's refreshing to hear a voice of reason that explains why his views can be dangerous and what can be done about it.
I really appreciate your views and they way you choose to not attack those you disagree with. It helps bridge the gap for those of us who are in the middle and or are just lost. You bring a sense of welcome to the left rather than just blame against the right. Keep up the good work!

Watching one of your best friends get chainsawed because of your drug dealing
Killing another one in an impulsive rage because of how overbearing you were over your sister

The woman you love ruin herself on the drugs you're dealing and also probably dead

1:18:50 'the closest anime has gotten to something like Game of Thrones, with an intense story with lots of characters, very dark, complex themes around racism and politics, war, etc, and some insane plot twists' Anime has tons of those. Anime is a whole medium, isn't it a bit reductive and offensive to say that the whole medium only has this one show that's 'close' to something like a western show that explores complex themes and all the rest? If you were talking about just mainstream anime then I could see the comparison working better and not having the unfortunate implication.

The secret to confidence is to just not care about people being upset over your minor infractions. For example FD: your indifference towards how batman fans or AOT fans will receive some of your points and call it out as biased is you expressing a level of self-confidence in yourself and an assuredness that your core message will push through despite any hiccups. And that's what a lot of the left is missing imo. Not even someone like Hbomberguy has that. He still has to hide behind some layers of irony to properly convey himself, and i'd argue he doesn't question himself enough like you do. You know how to level with people and reach them in a non-condescending place because of your experience as a teacher.
Its also why Mr. Morale speaks to me in a way that some online influencer is incapable of. Its coming from someone who is clearly expressing a level of free-thought without any outside pressure, and while thats not going to check all the boxes for political activists, its going to reach more people who maybe wouldn't have previously been open to those ideas. Its more digestible for laymen and preaches living a good life.
As far as solving the male loneliness epidemic goes: what these seemingly disenfranchised people need more than anything is a support group. They need to be told its going to be okay and to not worry too much about that shit. The fact is that some of us are just going to die alone, and while we should still actively look for partners, we should focus more on being ourselves and living more fulfilling lives. God knows i've been a lot happier ever since I started chasing my dream to be a YouTuber. I feel like my life has direction again. And in doing so, you may find yourself in more opportunities to connect with people than you would've before, which can lead to enriching relationships. Pick-up techniques and shit is important for when you're in that situation, but you cant be taught charisma. Charisma is reflective of your state of life. It has to be worked towards by first improving your outlook on life, which often requires interrogating and addressing your own shortcomings (unless you're able to just live your life in ignorance, which introverts aren't often blessed with).
It really is just a "fake it 'til you make it" sort of thing, idk what else to say. You have to live a healthy life first before you can develop charisma, and the reverse is also true. If you constantly indulge in doomer shit, its possible to lose your sense of charisma. Taking care of yourself should always be your first priority because its the foundation of who you are.

Finally at the end, and while this whole video has resonated a lot, that last part feels so important. Especially the please stop with the ironic misandry. While it’s not responsible for “male loneliness” it is/was so utterly exhausting to hear while trying to be better even when I knew it didn’t apply you hear it enough and it does kinda affect you.

Rule of Thumb for everyday life.
-Question/Challenge everything.
-Take advice from someone that can prove their teachings(listen to a couple with decades of a happy marriage for relationship advice).
-A real man doesn't need to bring others down to lift himself.
Take care and be caring.

Aba and Preach is an entry point for sure but I found them on my way OUT of the manosphere. It was safe enough to my sentiments at the time to not feel too challenged but It did also helped me a lot of the hypocrisy of the manosphere. It really did feel like a grounded, just being real, kinda framework that helped me see the flaws in a very shaky ground work.

Every time I see a video about this subject, I — a white, non-binary trans woman — have to stop and just sit in the knowledge that I was so close to being one of these people, to falling in with incels and eventually the alt-right, and I simply have no idea how I avoided it. And maybe the lesson is just that this can happen to anyone, I don't know.

Evangelion is my favorite anime of all time because it is incredibly brave in challenging its audience instead of trying to appeal to their worst traits. And it clearly comes from someone who has dealt with these issues himself. For whatever issues it has it never lets you cop out on your own behavior, but also shows clear sympathy for the issues the target audience struggles with.
