There is something strange about these podcasts. It seems that, Conan literally shut the doors to the world and created one of his own. Gaza, Bangladesh, Korea– nothing fazes him, but of course, Sona's house being burned down by the LA fires.
I remember how Conan's pre-TBS documentary started with someone asking him why he needed to be on TV to be funny. The answer should have been- That's how you know, you are still a part of people's lives despite their pathos. You know that they are actively choosing to he happy with you, no matter how their day was– It is grounding to be on air. Imagine saying that with a straight face.
