I can with 100% certainty say this was fake, for two reasons
    1. A veterinarian would not just throw up their hands and send the dog home without making a report
    2. The updates were exactlyyyy the kind of thing reddit eats up. Divorce drama where the Good Guy Dad wins in the end while his bitch wife who didn't believe him falls into a horrible life of hedonism and regret. Bonus points for animal abuse which the Good Guy puts a stop to

Honestly, the father was in the right for keeping it away from his wife. He made a mistake once, the world doesn't need to know. People can be dumb.

He does it again, ok the world can know because he's already been spoken to about this.

I think this one is definitely fake, mainly for the fact he's so nonchalant about it. Your son abusing a dog like that isn't a laughing matter, yet he's still defending him and acting like it's just teenage hormones. At least, I hope it's fake, for obvious reasons. And I sincerely hope that wouldn't be how the person acted around actual animal abuse.

If this was true. I really wish they had gotten that dog out of that situation immediately.I also have no doubt the son would still torturing animals to this day. He just does not have his parents to stop him now.

Idk the OP seems unfairly mean towards the wife and WEIRDLY apologetic for the son. Like idk it doesn’t sit right. Plus who would just believe the he “just” used a hairbrush handle? Like nah. Pedos don’t just stop at touching. Ever. I can’t see it being any different for animal abusers.

The thing that gives these "totally literally happened, reddit" stories away as being fake is they are always way too perfect to be believable. The poster's actions are either perfectly correct at all times, despite the insane and irrational actions and events going on around them, or some "I got drunk and drove a bus full of kittens into an orphanage and now they're all dead, did I do something wrong reddit?" level nonsense.

    Fake as all hell.

It reads like a bad creepypasta where the author self-inserts like he's writing the story as it happens but there's people/things pursuing him as he writes on a "internet blog" for people to somehow read, so the reader has to believe the writer experienced a bunch of traumatic and life threatening events, but still has time and a solid state of mind to connect a computer and write things is such excruciating detail, so this guy's life is falling apart but he still takes his time to update complete strangers on it and also runs the risk of being identified by giving too much info that would ruin his life even further, no wonder only redditors can believe in that sh1t.

Also, the story has that convoluted narrative fell to it like is a plot from a movie that need certain reactions to facilitate the progress of said plot, from the wife being so unreasonable and instantly accusing the OP and the kid being such a master manipulator, it's too tidy like its by someones design rather than something that is developing irl, even the premise seems fabricated to generate the most outrage with the minimal risk of real life repercussion.

The guy at the end going "Oh yeah, my wife became a drunk whore, while I got a wife that is 2x better and Coby lived happily ever after on McDonald's farm, and well my son is a zoophile monster that probably will make a dog suit out of someone, but that isn't my business anymore am I right?" only seals the deal.
