For anyone who has this conversation with a doctor, telling them to, “Fuck off!” is 100% the correct response, because they are ignorant and dis/mal/mis/informed andjust puking pHARMa lies to sell more statins and make you ill. Check doctors like Sten Eckberg to learn why these cholesterol numbers are wrong. After I had this conversation, I drove up the street and had a triple bacon cheese burger. I ate more fats, less carbs, did intermittent fasting, my numbers went down by themselves in 6 months.

I’m 70, almost 71. Been living on whatever comes to hand. Toast slathered with margarine topped with brown sugar. Hot cocoa chaser. I can’t remember what I used to eat before my husband died. I’m sure there were vegetables. With bacon, I think. He cooked, I worked. Then he died. It’s awfully quiet.

The efficacy of statins is very debatable, especially when you look at how they calculated the efficacy. The math the good doctors used is laughly bad, and clearly motivated by greed. For 1 in 83 people a statin will save their life. For 1 in 39 a statin will prevent another heart attack. Those are pretty dismal numbers. The douchebag doctors specifically manipulated the math to make it appear more effective than it actually was. In other words, the real benefit is changing the diet and the statins are just an expensive placebo. Taking that into consideration along with the fact statins have some pretty serious side effects, the net benefit to our society was completely negative. This drug has literally caused more harm than good. The good doctors are telling you want you want to hear, filling their pockets with money, and pulling down their society as a whole. I believe that is called parasitism.

If you want to see the contempt doctors have for their patients, look at how Dr. Redfield, the CDC chairman, replied to congress when congress asked him if covid vaccines would be free. Congress had to figuratively brow beat him to allow the people who were paying for the vaccine to have access to it. The doctors of the US are the problem in and of themselves. Greed, good old fashioned greed has completely, and utterly destroyed my faith in the medical profession. In my eyes doctors are rapacious, narcissistic sociopaths who routinely shit on ethics.

LOL this reminds me of when I was told I had a bad gall bladder. Thankfully I took 6 mos or so and just ate less crappy food and by the end of the year I didn't have to pull it out and I was slowly able to incorporate my old diet back w/ some changes so I didn't have issues. It's 10+ yrs later and I still haven't pulled it out and I'm eating normally 😀

Eat Keto to lower your cholesterol and you can have your bacon. And steak. And salmon. And mayo. And all the eggs you want. And butter. And then, only if you REALLY want it: celery.

I find it helps if right before you actually do what the voice tells you, you tense up your whole body as hard as you can so it's difficult to move, eventually the seemingly autonomous force that guides your hand to that sandwich runs out of energy and you can walk to that celery much more easily

Doctors generally don't study nutrition. Vegetables awesome, but it's not the hot dog or bacon that raises your cholesterol – it's the bun. Cholesterol, according to Dr. Maryanne Demasi, is the fire department, and is responsible for healing damage. You don't call off the fire department when there is a fire! You put out the fire. So – below the cholesterol is a cause of the elevation. Just lowering the cholesterol makes your numbers good, but is not reflective of health. So your other self wasn't totally wrong. It's the sandwich, not the ham and cheese. See what the Queen eats. She's 90.

You don't fight him, you reason with him,

there is a reason why he asks for that hamburger(because you feel sad),

so actually he asks for good feeling, how can you give him that? or better yet, why you feel sad(solve that)?

he can also be a friend, you learn to like the fact you eat healthy, he will encourage you to eat healthy, and will make you feel stronger for that.
