The pleasure wave that he emitted once the hug landed, along with the editing (echo, freeze frame, piano) is such a master piece, honestly. I watch this video again and again just for that one bit. You captured pure relief as best cinema ever possibly can

I rewatched this too many times, but only now I thought of using proper earhpones instead of the mobile's speaker. Only then you can do justice to Nick's audio work!

Joel if you're reading this I would adore it if you have one little segment in your movie which has this iconic style of editing. The strange music, the voice effects, and the sound effects scattered throughout. It is so recognisable and charming to me (and a lot of classic haver fans I'm sure). Could literally just have the main character in a shop and then for no reason it cuts to two people having this sort of conversation with the main character just in the background but he leaves the shop aggeeesss before these two characters stop doing their bit and then it's never referenced again for the entire movie

    4. Bf4?? Did you just blunder a bishop, what does that even attack had the pawn not been there?

Also just like tv and movies you guys set up the board wrong, its White on Right, Queen on your color.

This could easily be two people playing 40K. Every time I think I might want to try it, I watch a video of two people playing, and it's nothing but poorly executed, passive-aggressive assholes. To be fair, I never stick around long enough to see if it ends in a hug.

Fun fact: My brother and I streamed "the queen's gambit" on…not Netflix and the site had the episodes mixed around so we ended up watching the entire last episode thinking it was the first episode and afterwards my brother didn't want to watch it anymore. At least I can say I know how the show ends.
