If you are interested in the content of this video you may enjoy the book The Party Line by Dennis D. Gagnon, an allegory of the problems of confirmation bias and group think published in 2018.

This Video doesn't explain anything. Critical thinking is making statements or arguments devoid of logical fallacies and biases, which those are you can find on Wikipedia.

This version is lighter and a bit humorous, but still emphasizes that critical thinking means not simply accepting everything we hear. It’s good for showing how critical thinking applies to real life too.

This individual is talking about the single most important aspect about being alive, I was born in the U.S.A. in the 1950's, post WWII, into an American culture that taught me that Americans were exceptional. At this time in my life, every time I meet an individual that emigrated from a developed country into America, I always ask them what they thought about the average American citizens intelligence, they usually state that they were dumbfounded by the staggering ignorance of our population, except when it comes to celebrities! Most of these Γ©migrΓ©s are multilingual and are well schooled in history, math, science, and are able to produce an elegant and coherent verbal response to my question, even if English is not their primary language. Most Americans today, grew up in an "air conditioned cocoon", replete with wealth and hyper-consumerism as there culture, always looking to "purchase a sense of self" through externalism, emulating only what they perceive as: unique, attractive, and desirable. Americans have definitely devolved into a culture of "won't you look at my appearance, wealth and stature", and this mindset was definitely exacerbated by the advent of the internet and the smartphone! Sadly, most Americans are never involved in personal "introspection, contemplation, analysis, logic, skepticism etc.", and most are definitely NOT seeking the true meaning of being alive, only "I love the way a new car smells"! What Good Is My Critical Thinking?
Don’t Worry, Pretty sure critical thinking is just what everyone who agrees with. it’s impossible to make a perfect choice every time. But there are many ways to improve our chances – and one particularly effective technique.

The downside of actually having critical thinking is discovering that some people don’t have it, some people really are dogs chasing cars and it’s scary

-I can't stop worrying about what others(family and friends excluded) think about me.
-Nobody (except family and friends who are sincere to you) thinks about you."

As a chronically online tweeter who has a hard time figuring out what is right or wrong; this video has helped enlighten myself to the utmost of thinking that i stopped using Twitter entirely. This action has lead me to a job, a wife a very, very big wallet.
