I saw Gallagher at a casino a couple years before he died and he had some kids come up on stage for part of the act and got pissed at a couple of them for goofing of and ripped there parents for it.

Gallagher's just a guy from the 80s when you were a kid watching TV with the big HBO box you would seem to smash watermelons and it was entertaining

Scott is a quality guy. I’ve had the chance to meet him in person a handful of times (not even related to his shows) and he’s just a good person. I remember seeing his standup on cable as a kid in the 90’s and laughing hard as hell. He then played at Gator Growl when I was in law school in Gainesville. He always brings the funny. He knows he’s a target as a “prop comic.” However, the longevity of his career is undeniable and his lack of hatred against those who use him as an “easy target” is commendable.

My neighbors met Gallagher "too" at a market in Orange County around 88'/89' and bragged about it to everyone…. no idea that they actually met his brother.
