Movies used to be so terrible and so good at the same time. They just tried to let you escape for 1 hour and 45 minutes and just to have an enjoyable experience. They almost seem to do the opposite now. These videos scratch my 80’s latchkey brain. I was 6 with total freedom and zero supervision, did my own laundry, dinner, cleaning, homework and chores. How did I have more discipline at 6 than I do at 44.

There is another layer to all of this and that is that Walter is Jewish. I mean maybe its not drawn out much in the film but he is very clearly Jewish. George Siegel doesn't pass as a Gentile in any universe.

I like to think that Segal's character is the same one from Look Who's Talking. While in Chicago his wife shows up with their kid they made from the burglar sex, he runs away to New York and then knocks up Kirstie Alley's character. He is a serial impregnator and abandoner!
