Donald Trump is overseas visiting Belgium, England, Scotland and then his pal Putin in Russia. It is imperative that America has strong relationships with and knowledge about other nations, and that responsibility extends to all of us. So we came up with a test and went out on the street to ask people passing by, to name any country on a map. It didn’t go well.

I’m a geography enthusiast based in South Korea, and watching videos of people struggling to name a single country on a map makes me wonder if this is a universal issue. In my view, it’s not just about a lack of education; it’s that our digital world is designed to keep us looking inward. Algorithms have siloed our interests into tiny bubbles, and when people are busy with their daily lives, the rest of the world just fades into the background. I don’t think we can blame the individuals when the system is designed to keep our windows to the world so narrow.
But it's still shocking to see someone pointed Alaska and named Greenland. It's your territory!

Unbelievable that they can’t locate their own country This is not just because of the educational system it’s the environment that they have been indoctrinated into, reality isn’t Roblox and Candy Crush yet spending hours on end over the course of a day, month, year with worthless apps that become part of their lives dulls the brain. With the exception of the last young contestant, do you really think any of the others would care that they lack the basic knowledge of history, current events, basic math equations? This was a comedy segment that isn’t funny( humorous though) it highlights a concern

I am not the greatest at geography, but if you can't even locate your own country on a map, that is really sad.
Of course the kid can name a bunch of countries, because he probably just studied and took a test about it recently when this video was filmed. Ask him again in 20 years and see how well he does.
