Broken America: Back To The Wild West | ENDEVR Documentary

Watch ‘The Working Poor | The Price of the American Dream’ here: https://youtu.be/vGzzWBbg40U

It is one of the most dangerous cities in the USA. A playground for gangs and drug dealers. And yet Trenton, New Jersey, has had to let go of 100 police officers, a third of its force. Like many US cities facing bankruptcy, Trenton doesn’t have enough money to pay for its own public security. Temps Present visited this state capital, just an hour from New York City, to find out more about the daily lives of people living with public services reduced to a minimum.

Trenton, New Jersey, in 2025, is experiencing a mix of community initiatives and ongoing challenges. The city is focused on public safety, with initiatives like Citi-Stat and curfews in specific areas. There are also efforts to improve the city’s infrastructure, including the construction of new parks and the Greenwood Avenue Streetscape Project. However, Trenton also faces issues like water quality concerns at Trenton Water Works and a declining population

The documentary first aired in 2012.

Hey I’m going to work. I have no lights, my debit card isn’t work, my car won’t charge, my phone won’t let me sign into anything, my Alexa Siri etc won’t open the door or turn up the heat. Remember that vote, post, text, or tweet you made. 😂😂😂

This is wild to gas light ppl into thinking that inept city governments misusing funds becomes their fault when they refuse to pay more. Colorado is a VERY rich state. They have BILLIONS in weed sales and they over tax and implement tons of fees on the citizens. This is a Colorado mismanagement problem!

That's why they elected a career criminal with 39 felonies to be the president. He has since enriched himself with more than 3 billion dollars. Just in one year. Three left to continue his career😜😂

I would pay more taxes to not do construction work in my downtime and keep the police well equipped! Best wishes from Germany where socialism is less a thing than security. Community service is a punishment for committing crimes over here not meant for middle class families.

Goverment is making fools of usa citizens in plain sight. Adopted street lights, parks,…..!? Insane. But the couple are so proud, despite half of their income goes to government, adding the adopted member cost. There is national amnesia but people still smile, completely brain blank doing nothing. Oh they are good in thoughts and prayers.

Democrats need slums to get re elected and having so many poor people especially black allow Democrats to create shill non profit groups to "help" the poor black people but in reality the group is a slush fund. Think I am lying? I was in an intern for a power Congresswoman 9 years ago, I know the truth

This documentary is so condescending. Compared to communist countries, Americans have a lot to be thankful/grateful for. It’s scary when you make poor people start making all the laws- especially when many are just poor due to bad money & time management and family planning. Remember, the Bolsheviks were the poor class & what happened when they overthrew the soviet govt. (Yikes) Our tax money could be spent better but everyone should take personal responsibility for our communities. There is a reason why immigrants want to come here and end up successful (the ones who don’t rely on benefits). No government is perfect but we are far from the worst. ❤🇺🇸

The irony is street lights are not necessarily preventative of crime. People think they are but some studies show they may encourage crime. I have left mine off for years to help birds migrating. If my street light went off i would be grateful.

Hello from El Salvador, i lived in close neighborhood, we pay $40 for each house… Include Security, cleanning, 2 swimming pools, about 6 parks and gardens… Its interesting to me how usa small cities work…

Most people don't realize that from top to bottom, hardly anything we as North Americans are currently doing is sustainable. Some things are more noticeably doomed than others, but track out 50 years and hardly anything works because most levels of everything are theoretically underfunded and in a death spiral. Either spend less or pay more. But no one wants either of those options, even though choosing a path now would make it less painful later. Best option really is to convert as much as possible to 'pay to play' where people can be forced to see that if they spend the extra $100 they get a street light, etc. At least then they see it and can start paying now by choice instead of voting down tax increases or expecting 'someone else' to pay for everything. Honestly, I'd happily let my street lights go dim – but that's just me. Let me pay for what I care about, let everyone else pay for what they care about.

Government is behind the corruption of destroying certain cities and rural counties to keep them suppressed and into poverty. They want us helpless and at their mercy.
