#BREAKING: Grand Traverse County Sheriff shares details of Walmart mass stabbing
At least 11 people are being treated at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City after a stabbing at Walmart, according to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement says three people are in surgery as of 6:40 p.m. Saturday.
One Suspect is in custody and the weapon involved appears to be a ‘folding knife’, according to officials.
In a press conference at 7:45 p.m. Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea said the suspect was not injured.

I'm always amazed by you folks that expect instant information to be released about an incident that involved so many different emergency responders, police, witnesses and those unfortunate victims. They couldn't possibly have all the FACTS compiled for a press conference in such a short amount of time that would satisfy some of you critics. Some of you are pretending this is some television drama or law and crime video that wraps everything up in a nice neat bow in an hour episode, that's not how events this large happen.

I can’t believe the comments about the sheriff. The investigation is a mass casualty incident. This stuff is chaos for the first 12 hours. He can’t speculate or give information yet. The reporters should know that. Speculation is over half of the news cycle nowadays and that’s why media outlets are viewed as enemies instead of information sources.
