After all the dust from both shows have settled, I think better call Saul is the better show. Both shows do have pacing issues though which can make it hard for people trying to start one of these shows.
Also the fly was SPOILERS STOP NOW the metaphor for what Walt didn't do to Jane and can't tell Jesse about. A little thing as a huge problem–a chasm between he and Jesse, a truth he can't tell
Not to mention Skyler takes a while to process the truth, but she later fully embraces it, laundering Walt's money and going so far that she even suggests using a car wash instead of a laser tag, and cons Bogdan into selling the car wash. She becomes a fully voluntary and active participant, not an innocent bystander, yet she still considers herself as "better-than-thou". Going so far as to protecting Walt once Hank discovers the truth. Initially a victim, yes, later an accomplice.
You know, I feel like a lot of these opinions are pretty box standard, nothing new… But man, that opinion on Hank… I never knew of anyone that hated Hank to this degree. I mean he seemed to dislike Hank the way everyone in the fandom hates Marie. Did not expect that XD
@9:09 No, letting Jane die was the right move. Self-defense and all the reasons you listed. Pragmatism & fear kicked in, he made a good choice in self-preservation
You should now watch Better Call Saul and do the exact same thing……. go into it with no expectations, stick with it all the way to the end no matter how slow Season 1 is, and don't try to compare it to Breaking Bad. They are 2 different shows, best to judge it on its own merits. (You will enjoy it better that way)
