    I’m watching videos about brainwashing to try and understand the Republican Party. In modern times it seems conspiracy theories are becoming the norm and I’ve seen a lot of my distant (usually less educated) family members get wrapped up in hatred and fear mongering of Republican leaders. I know it’s probably impossible to change their views but I can still try to understand at least.

    The USSR under Stalin is an interesting case study, a nation under siege that had been in active war from 1914 too 1921 and then invaded by its newest neighbor who held a grued, Poland. It was a nation hated by all other that attempted too remain open under Lennin. Once Stalin took over however, he used the desperation, the destruction of what little Imperial Russia had and the creation of the world as its enemy too create a devoted and desperate following.

    You should do a video on Edward Bernays. He was a nephew of Freuds that applied his uncles principles to found the field of public relations. He's not very well known to the general public, but if you read up on him you'll realize that he pretty blatantly admits that he figured out how to weaponize principles of mass/group psychology for the benefit of advertizers, politicians and corporations. He was the one that initiated the shift from a needs based method towards a desire based method of advertizing that is at the root of today's consumerist culture. He might legitimately be one of the most impactful people of the 20th century that no one's ever heard of.

    I wish people understood the difference between fantasy and reality. When you say brainwashing people think of hypnosis; when in reality brainwashing is reprogramming one’s mind. Ironically they’ve been brainwashed to see brainwashing as something else. This shows how much of a simpleton humans can be.

    The most effective method of brainwashing is one by which certain truths are revealed to the masses at the most opportune time.
    Foresight combined with an understanding of the potential consequences of such revelations is our only weapon against these forms of attacks.

    If you're interested in seeing applied brainwashing on mass scale, then look for books and lectures of Yuri Bezmenov (aka Tomas Schuman), who was a KGB defector that fled from USSR to Canada in 70's and gave speeches on the topic in 1980's. Why him? Because things that he predicted in 1980's are rampant across the West and specifically in US right now. Videos of his lectures are uploaded, deleted and uploaded again, so take a look while they're still there.

    What I took from the video is that you can be “brainwashed” by anything with information and a message, it’s sort of human nature in a weird way, to centralize around a figure, it could have contributed to the success to our species, but nonetheless malevolent, not that everything that you are influence by is bad but if you use that aspect of our mentality for your groups gain.

    I made a comment on how this video is completly appropriate on the recent brainwashing that the news broadcasters are doing with the vaccine agenda and censorship of people just questioning these discriminatory, apartheid-like covid measures. We're being LIED TO. AND MY COMMENT WAS DELETED RIGHT AFTER!! Now I'm certain that we're trying to be silenced. I applauded your channel and video Sisyphus. Did you remove my comment?
