A landmark 2017 study by The Lab @ DC on D.C. Metropolitan Police found that body-worn cameras had no statistically significant impact on police use of force or civilian complaints. Tracking over 2,000 officers, the study concluded cameras did not notably change officer behavior, suggesting they are not a "panacea" for police misconduct.

The Democrats in 2015 supported the use of body cameras. Now that body‑camera footage sometimes contradicts their rhetoric, they argue that body cameras are problematic. Crime in some communities is influenced by a range of social and economic factors, including family structure (high percentage of blacks born out of wedlock) ,cultural dynamics, and lack of morals. I first started thinking about these issues back in 2011, when I was robbed by three blacks.

This is peak irony considering the left, ten years ago, would not stop advocating for widespread, always on body cameras. What changed? The fact that they no longer are working to your advantage? That it 99% of the time justifies law enforcement in their actions of having to make a split second decision?

You are reinventing the history of bodycams. The left demanded these and now they show their favorite demographic acting badly just as they always have and they always will. Stop trying to deny the reality that bad people want to do bad things to our cops. I greatly enjoy these YouTube videos that show the 13% acting poorly as is in their nature.

You don't get to chant and riot for a decade to mandate bodycams and then start walking backwards when they show that Police Racism barely even exists and 95% of encounters not only show that lethal force was justified, but shows the OPPOSITE, where black suspects are being racists against White Cops.

End Police Unions and stop Internal affairs. To be honest being abroad where police officers don’t carry guns and they are all in good physical condition. I’m starting to think the police in the US shoot people because they can’t chase them.

In our neighborhood two officers got in big trouble for violence against a Latino man because of the BWC footage. They were both eventually fired from the police force. They openly lied in their reports. So BWC video may not always help it’s bc they are not being released not bc it isn’t actually getting the truth of what I’d happening. We need to fix it not get rid of it!!

Don’t what data you twist to shit on body cams. I watch a lot of body cam videos on YouTube. You know how easy it would be for a cop to abuse or rape suspects let alone lie about what happened if it weren’t for the situation being recorded… really fucking easy. Body cams are a good thing.
