Why does the elf speak with a Russian accent? And what in the world is that shark tank accent? Really liked the Canadian Snow bit…Personally I'd love another Mirror Julie episode.

Mary didn't have trouble with space at the Inn/hotel. She had trouble with room Inside Josef's distant family home where they had to stay because of the strange census rules . All the upstairs rooms were filled with other relatives also required to stay at that home that night . If John hadn't been from a different male-defined family, toddler John and his mother Elizabeth would have been in those rooms too. So M&J had to stay in the downstairs garage/stable and repurpose an oilpan / feeding tray as a crib .
