In 2016, I was of the belief that Trump may have been a necessary evil. I chose to dump him if the border was not complete by 2020, because it was his biggest campaign promise and what got him elected. I was done with him by 2018 and have had no doubts since. Do the American people deserve this? We elected him in 2024, after everything, or we allowed the 2024 election to be stolen. Either way, I think we do deserve the mess we are in, for we are only as strong as our weakest link.

History has shown that people in general are swayed not to much by their own beliefs and convictions grown over time and based on reliable information, but on what they can feel and see. If you have a good life, like all of us did during the Cold War, probably the most stable time period in centuries, you lie back and are not too keen on thinking about the problems of the world that we still have and which should be solved. So, yes, Europa has stagnated relying on the US and the West in all those decades and now its political systems are veering and sprouting in all directions, without and true plan of what to do with them. I suppose time will tell whether we are able to course correct and learn from outliers like Dumpy. Who, if you zoom out, is nothing more than the result of a development going on for decades. I'd even say he was inevitable. And if we had focused a bit more on what is really going on with our society and the world, we might have even noticed. Wit the dawn of the Internet, AI and Social Media, I think we have reach a point of no return. The next stage of evolution for mankind is all but inevitable, and in some way logical. So we might as well get some clarity and think about how to manage this transition best and/or to keep humanity going as long as we can until either this planet gives out or we finally spread among the stars.

That final comment about being disgusted with this country….. I couldn't agree more. Especially since a full 1/3 of our citizens are still cheering this bullshit on like it's the greatest thing that ever happened. His approval rating is still over 30% when by all rights it should be zero at this point.

Because, if you didn't vote for Kamilla, it had to be Trump right? Kamilla's credentials were just as bad. She doesn't seem any more intelligent IMHO.

If US Citizens REALLYwant to do something good … for once…(spetially actors) have to emigrate to the countries that your goverment invade, Cultural, Economic and obviously military. And stay there untill the Us retire all kind of dominion of that Nations. Leave the Country, get it Empty of people that are desagree. This is sad, because even in our own country we lived a lie with those signs in the window, going about our daily lives and not really banding together to lift up those who are less fortunate – oh, we played at it – but the rules of the game were not stacked in their favor and we chose to ignore it mostly playing a game of pretend while the rules were always in favor of the wealthy and powerful. The rich and powerful controlled the middle class and poor, and we went along with it for so long, pretending atrocities didn’t exist really – only when we saw it on our TV screen or when it hit us personally. But we have been living a lie in this country. This is sad because the world is moving on from us – we are no longer “the shining light on a hill” but then we never were – we just pretended we were while we bullied other countries and even our own citizens who couldn’t fight back.
I realize that we are good people, but we’ve always been stronger than we let on, just busying ourselves with our lives while so many fell behind in our society.
If Donald Trump has done one thing for our country and the world, it is shown us that we can be so much better – that there are so many cracks in the system – and we must never go back to the way it was, but rebuild a more equitable US and world.

Sorry but you are misleading with your statistics.
The turnout for the election was 64%, which means that 36% didn't even vote.
Of the electorate that DID bother to vote, 32% voted for Trump, 31% for Harris and 1% voted third party "in protest".
So, if you consider ONLY those that voted, then, yes 50.7% voted for Trump. But it was NOT over half the country, or even half the electorate.

Elected Law Makers on BOTH sides allowed a Convicted Felon into the Oval Office for a second term. Not me, and not you. WE voted him out and they allowed him right back in.

This message is, for anyone going to the Super Bowl bowl in San Francisco CA this year, and anybody that knows somebody going to the Super Bowl.Make sure they know we saw felon Trump at last year's Super Bowl.We need to make sure if they show him which they may on tv that we all boo him but also I would love to see chanting of "Impeach, Traitor Trump" that's what needs to be chanted during the game for around 10 minutes straight at him.
