The National Native American Hall of Fame inducted its new members on Nov. 5 at the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma. James Parker Shield, the organization’s chief executive officer, shares about this year’s class, which includes well-known names in fields like law, publishing and sports.
“Spirit Rangers” by Netflix was added to the list of Indigenous-led shows on television in 2022. Karissa Valencia is the creator and tells us about this project. Raye Zaragoza scored the music, and has the scoop behind the show’s theme song.
For the first time, a woman is the athletic director of Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. We speak to the basketball star Tera Cuny-Baker.
