In 1974 I met Jack Lemmon sadly
I had not seen some like it hot
But I had seen the great race told him how terrific he was in it
Not too long after I discovered something like a hot
I was blown away
I could see why it was rated the funniest comedy
Decades later when I was married at three children
I showed my youngest son
some like it hot
Every Comedy after that I showed him his answer was always the same
“ well it was funny, it was not
some like it hot though.”

They didn't alter Stalag 17. It was finally released in 1960 in West Germany with its original plot entirely unaltered. Wilder left because he didn't get an apology.

Jack Lemmon was the cutest thing about this movie. Most impressive was Marilyn running full speed in heels. Wait for Sugar! "Well, nobody's perfect" was such a funny line. I laughed for like 10 solid minutes after the end.

My parents loved Some Like It Hot and watched it every time it was on tv. They passed that love along to my sister and me.

The guys were great, but as every movie, Marilyn was in,it doesn't start till she shows up. Rather late in this movie. She's magnetic. Her walk along the train, where we first see her, is unbelievable❤❤❤ Funny, sexy, sweet.

Interesting so many claims Tony spouted off can't be collaborated by anyone else.
Marilyn didn't leave the shooting schedule because of an overdose, it was because of a miscarriage of Arthur's baby. Tony wasn't Marilyn's type at all.
Marilyn had pads put in to give her the appearance of nipples, not to hide them. Her nipples wouldn't get very hard if at all.

United Artists was founded by zHollywood film stars in the silent era.
Olivia de Havilland took legal action in the late1940's against Warner Bros over the unfair contract she signed in the 1930's. Kirk Douglas produced films as well as starred in them in the 1959's.

29:39 she was also very severely addicted to drugs:/ and was just a very anxious person, i always feel so bad for her and people who judge her for her being late, she would’ve been on benzos had those been invented yet..but it was only barbiturates unfortunately. Benzos aren’t totally safe either but theyre the WAY safer little brother of barbiturates. They made benzos to replace barbiturates

In the late 90s I watched Some like it hot with my grandma and I remember her praising the end of the movie, when the guy finds out that his love interest is not female by saying Nobody's perfect (if I remember correctly). That was my first encounter with the idea of the same sex relationship and still to this day I can't believe my grandma was so open minded, she grow up in the Eastern Europe, very conservative 😊😊

THAT WHOLE STORY ABOUT MARILYN GETTING PREGNANT BY CURTIS IS ABSOLUTELY TOTAL AND UTTERLY FICTIONAL!!!! I can’t believe Curtis would use Marilyn like that, particularly when he actually despised her in real life!! Ugh, he is the absolute WORST!!!!

Tony Curtis was such a liar!! Denying he said what he did about Marilyn and Hitler, and trying to make out that he’d had an affair with her? She wouldn’t have touched him with a barge pole!! I can’t bear folks who just use whoever they want or need, regardless of their true personal opinions and feelings about the individual…in other words complete phoneys!!

For years I didn't like Tony Curtis after he said that kissing Maryln was like "kissing a dead fish" but I guess he became aware of her struggles & changed his attitude towards her. Poor girl; she was so insecure; no self worth. A dear friend suffered like that too & took her own life.
