To the part about UP Michigan. I'm from Ohio, and came close to buying a cabin in UP Michigan, I decided not to due to distance and that crazy female governor. Then about 3 months later "covid" happened.
The cabin would have been nice, but not with the regulations that psycho governor pushed. Upper peninsula should be part of Wisconsin.

As a former flight attendant, I would have paid to work a shift with a super rat in the light fixtures…AND, as a semi lapsed Catholic, your comment on your Christmas Eve family party (which made me cry with nostalgia and fabulous memories of similar Irish- american family Christmases growing up) of "Last call before Midnight Mass" not only made me spit my jack and coke out my nose but inspired me to actually GO to Midnight Mass! I even went on New Year's too, so, you are clearly doing the Lord's work. hahahaha. Now, as a cold/snow/white out for days/ice skater since 4 years old thanks to my hockey playing dad, if only I could move to Wisconsin from the hellscape of the southwestern desert, it would be true heaven. Thanks for keeping me sane!!! (and probably from going to hell, despite everything Sister Mary of the Assumption predicted!)
