The wife and I won tickets to a TS show several years back during the reunion tour and it was amazing! My first tape of all time back at the age of 10 was Stay Hungry and I can honestly say that if there's one band out there responsible for sparking my lifelong love of all things Heavy Metal it's Twisted Sister. So to hear Dee is suffering like this makes me feel genuinely bad. I truly hope he can overcome his current challenges and move on to better things and better times. If this is it for the band…well…so be it. They had a good run, an undeniable and unforgettable impact on kids like me (Hah! 51 year old kids!), and leave a wonderful legacy behind them. Godspeed, Dee and thanks a million for more than you'll ever know!

SAW TWISTED SISTER WHEN THEY OPENED UP FOR IRON MAIDEN FOR THE FAMOUS "LIVE AFTER DEATH" RECORDING AT LONG BEACH ARENA MARCH 1985……STILL HAVE MY TICKET STUB, TAPED IT TO THE ALBUM…….ALL THE BANDS I'VE SEEN, I TAPED THE TICKET STUB TO MY ALBUMS. FROM AC/DC TO ZZ TOP…….I WAS THERE…..!!!!

Dee has lived in a state of denial for 30 years. TS was considered metal for 3rd graders in 84. "Leader of the pack" is your answer in 85? Instant career suicide.

How much you wanna bet this is all bullshit. I’ll bet that there wasn’t a lot of interest in the tour like they thought there would be although I was sort of interested. I think a lot of people will probably interested. I’ve never seen twist sister I’d be interested in it, but I thought Twista sister was in great shape. He never did drugs. He never drank. He always bragged about it. Come on Ozzy Osbourne was still touring at 70. I don’t believe this bullshit. I think he’s lying to us. I think the interest wasn’t there

Anthony, I love your channel, I’ve been following it since the very beginning. But honestly, I don’t really see the point of making reaction videos to every piece of news related to “hair metal.” Sorry but I didn’t get what was supposed to be interesting or insightful in your “analysis” of the recent lawsuit between Mötley Crüe and Mick Mars. Same thing with the video about the cancellation of the Twisted Sister dates and Dee Snider’s health, you don’t actually have anything specific or new to say about it.
I watch all your videos, but to be honest, I feel like I wasted my time on those last two. You don’t need to put out videos every day just to have content, Anthony, you might end up oversaturating your channel and the people who follow it. I think it would be better to focus on substance : interviews, album analyses, and sometimes a reaction video about a real event (if you have something special to say about it, not just to comment like everybody else). I already have a hard time keeping up with all the interesting videos you upload, so the rest (like these last two news-related videos) feels unnecessary to me. Just my humble opinion. 😉

Gotten the jab many times and I’m just fine and never caught Covid. I don’t take my medical advice from junkies. People get old and break down, has nothing to do with the jab.

There's quite a few Conservatives he pissed off, myself included. The Mouth That Roared. We've been saying this for years: WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR POLITICS, PLAY ROCK AND ROLL, JACKASS

This has NOTHING to do with ticket sales! They planned to play only Festivals, not a typical tour traveling by bus and playing 5-6 shows a week. Festival bands are guaranteed a fixed price no matter if 50 or 50,000 show up. Also, (moot point now), who hasn't ever changed their mind on something? Regardless, Dee admitted he let himself go the last 5+ years and wasn't in shape (ripped) to his standards. Add that to his health issues and previous "event"; he probably jumped the gun and realized after rehearsals that he wasn't ready to go back on stage at this point for 13-15 songs. Give him credit, could have taken the money and did it half assed.

I was so upset of hearing this. As a 24-year old I didn’t have a possibility to see TS live, so I was on the 7th heaven when I bought the ticket. But of course I hope that Dee will be fine, we don‘t want him to meet Ozzy that soon.

Hey Anthony & Patrick. Thanks for the update. Sadly, time eventually catches us all. This type of news is always a reminder that we are getting older & many of our idols are already there. Thoughts & prayers to Dee & his family. Big thank you to Stevie @ MetalSludge for working his ass off to keep us informed !! 🤘

Who cares twisted sister only had a couple of good song and about 6 or 7 cds. Dee is a huge liar when I meet him he lied and talked the same shit. Now your comment on kiss is wrong as well they had the og farewell tour with original line up and that’s exactly what they said, you will never see that line up again. The end of road is because Paul lost his voice. End of story.

He can still sing his ass off just didn't want to take a chance on giving the fans a lesser show unlike a lot of guys who go out and lip sync or just suck! And motley has sucked live since the shout tour Vince can't sing live he sucks

I had no idea they were planning a tour. The reason for their tour cancellation is likely a half-truth. Dee probably has an arthritis flare-up, and the doc likely prescribed him extra recliner duty. I would imagine the other half of the truth is that the math for ticket sales wasn't mathing, and the health excuse just makes the cancellation less humiliating.

Is there really a strong demand for Twisted Sister beyond 100 or so geriatric SMFs who want to relive 1985? They were already a punchline before the height of the hair-metal era, and they haven’t had a hit song since Reagan was in office. 🎉

It's a sad thing but is part of life alot of us listened and grew up on the 80's rock scene which was an intense scene filled with drink, drugs and women. So that lifestyle and what 46 years later for some bands more if put in likes of KISS and Judas Priest etc. It catches up unfortunately but is a sad when we lose these artists performing live or even recording
