First listen was rough. I’ve actually come around to it

They were hugely inspired by Mr. Bungle, and Mr. Bungle had long made an art form of pissing off their fans, so… yeah.

The EP had some interesting ideas, but overall was too great. I don't feel it's as bad or as horrible as people are trying to make it out to be. Hilarious to me that people are still crying about autotune past 2010. Obviously it was used as an effect and not a crutch, but a few amount of critics have not gotten the memo. Some of the songs meander, but there are some cool noisey guitar parts and vocals throughout. Not every experiment is going to work, but I feel like A7X has been doing it so long I commend them for their courage to experiment. I hope they continue to do so.

Statica is an extremely solid EP. Do I want all of their music going forward to sound like this? No. Do I enjoy this and I'm happy it exists? Absolutely!

Most music that comes out just sounds like a reworked version of past albums the groups put out. You may enjoy that it's a new sound to your ear even though it's super familiar, but then it fades away and you kind of forget about it. Avenged is putting out interesting stuff all the time and constantly experimenting and innovating. I'm much prefer this over rehashing the same old same old.

Many people would say city of evil is their favorite album. That was a massive departure from their first two albums. Then the self-titled album was actually quite different than City of Evil. The stage was really different and life is but a dream is really different. This is what they do. The good news for people that hate Statica, they're not going to stay this way forever. Matter of fact they're probably going to change it up dramatically soon.

Have yet to dislike any album they've put out. Some I enjoy more than others and not all tracks are winners in my eyes, but are as subjective and what they put out is always interesting.

You're free to feel however about their opinion of what you want their art to be, and I get where you're coming from. But this is transactional and they owe us nothing. They spent their time and money making music, we spent our money to acquire it. Transaction over. They appreciate that and so do we. It doesn't mean we nor any label CEO or even a producer gets to sway their creative process. You can complain when it's too different and you can complain when it's too similar, but they have the right to do their thing with their time and money. If you don't like it, don't buy it. 🤘🏽

I kinda feel like its something leading to something else. They are on a major label yet released it as self published. It's probably some sort of concept thing building to something else. i kind of see it as this Anti-Ai thing because of all the electronic elements going on.

Honestly REJOICE is super underrated

They can make what they want, I can listen what I want, which has never been them. They've always been such cookie cutter corporate metal it's hilarious.

They should be more embarrased they are forced to tour with Good Charlotte. Also, they don't pull from the 1st album beacuse he can't sing like that anymore and that level of talent is no longer in the band.
