20:40 Corporate rulers … Anyone reminded of that great (?) 70s movie Rollerball? You know, a world where the corporations own the rollerball teams … as well as everything else. Jonathon! Jonathon! Jonathon! 😂 Oh, wait, I guess we’ve had it all along … can you say FIFA or NFL or MLB?

The not-knowing is actually a very good parallel between medieval serfs and today's precariat: the point being that you are unable to imagine a different social environment, your world is just given, objective, absolute. When freedom is unthinkable, litterally not possible to be thought of, that's the ultimate prison.

So, back then, serfs were serfs because God made the world this way, period. The hierarchy was obvious, ubiquitous and advertised everywere.
Today, we just accept to be forever in debt because this is supposedly the natural state, that's free market bro, that's how the world works, period. Can't even get near to the level of life your parents had? So you're just lazy, right? Work harder, take bigger loans, get a better job, etc. (certainly DO NOT think that maybe this situation is somehow caused by external factors).

Well, no. This situation is entirely artificial, it is a fabricated lie. The same kind of lie as the one about god's order making you a serf. If you go back just a few decades, it didn't work this way. People used to own their homes, were able to raise kids, had a feeling of security. Not a feeling of beeing in the pocket of the financial elite.

AI is slaughtering all the high paying jobs at the moment. At its best, it'll slaughter medicine, tech, and pretty much all other high paying jobs. The capitalist class will become the next feudalist class.

I know it’s not a science question but if I could have the answer to one thing, it would be taxation
It seems that taxes continuously outpace the modern day middle class income pay raises. They’ve been doing this since I was a child doesn’t matter if I make 2% 3% or 4% in a raise the taxes that come from that seemed to raise right in line then you got the government demanding minimum wage go up And the second that minimum wage goes up their taxes skyrocket toward the minimum wage workers just make more money, but they don’t have more money so I would like to know what is the maximum taxation that the government can impose on the people both federally and statewide taxes where it’s going to be the breaking point of society

I don’t believe that places like Illinois or California could ever go 100% electric as far as electric vehicles and emission free vehicles, without using fossil fuels
Currently, there is an AI race for these large facilities being built that consume way more electricity than we can imagine and the electric company has just spent billions building windmills all over the place and solar farms all over the place that are now not gonna supply the people with more power so you could get something like this done they’re supplying these industries Building these AI facilities data centers.
I don’t think our structure is intact to be able to re-energize every vehicle, especially in these high density urban areas mixed that in with all the copper thieves in criminal activity that would take place just because they could and you have a mixture for a long period of not getting this done
In my particular neighborhood, we are not set up to even park your car in your driveway. Therefore, everybody would have to be paying daily to park in the street or a lot and have their vehicles recharged in the amount of parking that would take because you’re not gonna move your car in two hours if you come home and go to sleep , it would just be a mess

Private schools are only better if the government is not funding and managing the public schools properly.
In Australia we have a lot of great public schools (it kinds depends on the are you live), and a lot of the time you send your kids to private school if you want them to have a religious education or something else specific.

In Brazil, the public universities are funded by tax and they are renowned for being excellent, there are very few private universities that are on the same level of public universities.
Usually private universities are for people who want to get a degree more easily it they can't commit enough time to study.

The next step would be to have government agencies going house to house confiscating physical media and storage devices because they need to find "CSAM" and theyll say they can hide it on normal looking DVD's and game cartridges. And the only way to access media is through a cloud

I agree with your statement that cites were built for cars. I'm surprised you didn't mention, The Line, a city being designed from the ground up to be a commuter friendly city. Of course the downside of that is getting out of the city to travel or do other things. Something I do not think designers take into account.

15:37 if you’re talking about a “Renaissance Man” from the Medieval Era who helped move science and technology forward in a big way…St. Albert the Great would be at the top of my list. An important Natural Scientist of his day, he was one of the first to teach that we shouldn’t just trust the knowledge we’ve been handed from antiquity…but test and verify the outcomes. In his day, he was viewed in a similar way to how we look at Einstein today, and his works would have been required reading for anyone getting into science…meaning that he is likely foundational to the idea of the modern scientific method later expanded by other scientists and codified by Francis Bacon.
