Benchmarks are useless if tested without the safe guards they plan to put between end users and these models. Let's see what these models do when Anthropic and OpenAI add the guards that restrict end users.

Could all this be some market manipulation? Govt shuts down the big AI model releases, stock drop and those in the know sold when it's high. Then they actually release these models and people get excited again and stocks go up, then those same people can buy while stocks are low?
… I know nothing about the economy FYI so be kind to me 😂 I'm just a humble biologist using AI for bioinformatics.

Anthropic’s engineers can access to Mythos 5.5 or 6 for their development internally.
This is why many engineers, including Nobel laureates, join Anthropic.

I am of the opinion that if a model isn't available to be used by the public in any capacity, then its not a thing. Might as well say someone made ASI in their basement then threw it into a fire…it isn't helping humanity, so its just useless.
And with the current western government being who they are, if you don't open source/weights it, then its just something begging to be thrown in a cell, so again…not a thing.
We are high tailing it to the worst form of cyberpunk. only a select group of specific winners chosen by committee will have access to the super power models and will crush everything else. Government will now officially be picking winners.

If no foreign born staff in Anthropic is allowed to access it, can they access the even more powerful internal model during training before it has been classified by the US government? Seeing as such a large proportion of AI researchers in the US are foreign born, I don't see how this can hold up.
