End of the day, I don't care what genre it is. I love melodic and progressive sounds like Spiritbox but also love energetic hard hitting sounds like xWeaponx. If it's heavy I'm moshing to it and if it's melodic I'm vibing to it. But one thing for certain no matter the sound: I'm first into the pit everytime

Look man im an old head and i thoroughly enjoy Spiritbox, Erra, KSE, Unearth, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, After the Burial, Periphery, and Volumes. Theres a wide spectrum of really talented bands out there for the last 20 years. The only thing i consider garbage is the cringy shit falling in reverse has been releasing after their first album. Just pure cringe, radio rock made its way into metalcore and thats my only complaint of the genre.

Not sure if shai hulud is mentioned in this video (20 mins in) but I think they definitely deserve a spot in the "pioneering the genre" category. PTW was heavily influenced by then and so was misery signals, etc.

The fact that Integrity and Earth Crisis and the like lead to Mortality Rate, Asking Alexandria, Lamb of God, BrokenCYDE, Killswitch, Converge, Poison the Well etc is crazy. I know all those bands sound different and it’s debatable as to if they’re metalcore or not and that’s my point.
