an emp detonated below 200 miles couldn't cover the US west to east or vica versa in fact starfish prime only blew out streetlights and some radio equipment on the Hawaiian islands – it was 900 miles away and the bomb was detonated at 250miles up – which is what it would take to cover th entire US – so 900 miles away you'd lose your streetlights and microwave repeaters and did Hawaii lose its power grid? Nope… This guy is FOS on so many accounts – where did Danny dig him up ?

What I learned about an emp it's not likely to knock out large circuits older type technology. Microchips computers stuff that is fried easily by an electric surge will be taken out. You basically need older stuff without microchips in it.
