For really horrible writing/acting, there's that thing Tyra wrote and made them play from Modelland, main character Tookie de la Creme. CRINGE
The race-switching thing was actually intriguing, but tricky, and it's hard to know what the modelling point of it was

3:53 I legit at 18 for a boutique runway show in San Francisco was given 6 in 2008 era platform goat heels and told to stuff them with tissue since they were also an 8 when I was a 5.5 and suck it up. I get up to the runway, the only one in lingerie when every9ne else was fully clothed who’d gone before me, and the platform runway was literally wooden boxes not connected to each other . Like 6 of them . I am glad I was 18 and coordinated and pulled it off but yeah it’s not completely nuts to come into a situation and when you are just a meat hanger they don’t give a fuckkkkkkk if you’re even alive really as long as you’re hot.

I wanted to be a model so bad… And this scared tf outta me. But I was hooked. I watched every episode as I came out up until people were able to call and vote. You remember that era lol yeah, that shit was annoying.

Oh my god, that first girl? They totally could have crippled her, like for real. She was so lucky she didn’t break a knee, ankle, or worse a hip. Like we all kinda laugh at this, but as you get older? That’s serious stuff, that sometimes you don’t come back from fully. To me, this and how they treated the young man suffering from AIDS on “The Real World” tore up my perception of “reality” tv really early, so I won’t watch that trash. I’ve never seen an episode of the Kardashians, Survivor, Naked and Afraid (like, what even with that title), Fear Factor (another super trashy one), America’s Top Whatever, You’re off the Island, Your Singing Sucks, You can’t Dance, etc. These stupid shows – including the Apprentice, which made dumber Americans think Trump was a successful businessman – are one reason why the country thinks cruelty is cool. It’s crass. These shows are crass, and mean-spirited, and pander to people’s worst instincts. They all should be taken off the air.

I remember semi-reguarly watching this but got tired of it when they started doing outrageous things. It's weird that I don't particularly remember the cruelty, but I gave up when Tyra made the models sit on huge ice cubes in lingerie, claiming that is how they do arctic photoshoots, which I knew was a lie.
