I absolutely love writing letters to my friends and family. Not only do they love to receive it, but it also gives me time to reflect on the relationship and what it really means to me. Not only do my friends feel more loved, but I do as well in the process. I've cried while reflecting on how much I love the people around me and how much they love me back. AI could never replicate how that makes me feel, and it saddens me that some people won't go through the effort to feel those feelings.

I see AI as a great thing, it'll destroy the internet quicker than we could have ever imagined possible, with no possible comebacks whatsoever, we will unplug it all, and we will all be back to our happy little shitty meaningless life but AT LEAST we will have each other to talk about it, can't wait.

It‘s not only a problem with writing essays with ChatGPT… there is also a problem with paranoid Professors that claim you use AI when you didn’t. I had to change my whole writing style cause that fucking ai is "close enough to get suspicious". We had 4 CASES in our class where people failed their exam cause they got falsely accused of using AI. I hate you ChatGPT I FUCKING HATE YOU

"Why is AI helping me write a song or tell a story? I don’t want it to breathe or fuck for me; I want it to solve cancer! Send some shit through a black hole! Do something that we can’t do! Do the shit we don’t want to do. Why is it coming after the stuff that we essentially need to do to be human beings?" – Gore Verbinski

36:11 this is genuinely why i believe when AI takes over, the poets, philosophers and critical thinkers will be some of the only people capable of outsmarting AI and communicating without it

This ashames me a bit, but hey, theres no ethical consumption right? I just love using gemini overviews like if its a librarian, and its something i actually dreamed on way back when i was on elementary on like 2016.

Theres so much random questions that i know has to have a simple and concrete answer, but is burried among mountains of information; i actually thanks a bit that it exists a tool to extract that fragment and let me know the website it came from and also highlight it. I dont use gemini alone, i never only read the summary; i check it and then click on the pages to know the full text and its context (which is sometimes even more important than the answer alone).

Whenever is a bigger topic that cant be solved with a wiki page or a forum, i just use reddit to know recommendations of books on the topic and then download and read them

something i just noticed in the interview with youtube is that when other people are using youtube videos to train their ai models its "a creator's hard work", but when the conversation switches to google using youtube for ai training he just calls it content

    Wait

Did that show someone asking ai how long it would take to get from one place, to another?

I… I do that a lot, with maps

Literally any maps app will tell you, and more accurately

You can literally just google the exact same thing and immediately get maps popping up letting you know?

That is literally just something technology has been able to do exactly, and for at least a decade

Arborist checking in to say that the Google add with the tree house is all wrong. That was not an oak tree, it was an American Elm. Just wanted to use my knowledge of trees to be a pedant.

I know this is a year old. But like… Imagine how many more resources would be wasted if "AI" took the time to fact check it's self or even at the lowest level, check if it was hallucinating. also the kids look more realistic than the adults… weird…
