🟣Soon, “food” will be grown 100% autonomously. No farmer in sight.

Maybe the answer is not a better Farm Bill … it’s no Farm Bill at all 🤷🏼♂️. Get the Feds out of our farms altogether.

This "precision agriculture" was actually already widely implemented in pre-invasion Ukraine🇺🇦 — their first bombing drones in 2022 were just repurposed crop dusting agridrones with some explosives hooked on telease switch under them.

10:45 Internet of things is basically just little devices that connect to the internet to complete their function. So in your house if you have smart home devices or alexa or god forbid you own one of those AI fridges, that is considered internet of things. Not really sure what the applications are for IoT with farming but now you know what it is at least 🤷🏽♂

We are in trouble when the conventional farming that has fed us forever is being sidelined for this "regenerative" farming. Food reaped and consumed from "dead soil" will provide little to no nutritional value. 😒

I can't remember where I saw it but Palantir has been given control over our food supply. Wish I could find the article because it totally fits with this video. AI & government will have control over our food supply. Probably why Bill Gates bought up so much farm land.

A few guys own most of the land in the US and lease most of the rest from the government for a song. People will eventually get fed up with having no control of their lives (and info). Its going to happen. We need a Teddy Roosevelt to bust up the soul sucking structures our government has agreed to let come into being. Let's have our government reverse the process. Time to diversify or we will be "ploughed under".

They are making farms more reliant on government handouts to the point they cant survive without the government.
@DanGartman

If you look at what is already happening to our farm industries across the country, I think it's pretty clear that the priority is to let farmers fail so that investment firms can buy up this land and use these new technologies to utterly and completely control our food system, which will be a complete and total monopoly.

Respectfully, I think you’re missing much of the point of precision agriculture. Two examples of projects I’ve been involved in (research support staff at an R1 university, on the patent side): one is a precision irrigation technique that is posed to cut water use in the lower Mississippi Delta by around half (varies field by field), preserving the underground aquifer in a critical period where farmers are looking at the possibility of running out of water in the next few decades. Another is in the harvesting process of a particular specialty crop, where upwards of 10% of the harvest is dumped on the ground because the harvester doesn’t stop throwing material out while the storage carts are changing places. As great as high tunnels and wildflower plantings are, the problems threatening the agricultural industry are problems that can’t be solved by traditional means. There are some things to criticize, don’t get me wrong, but I think your criticisms that miss the mark slightly might be spoiling the viewer’s reception of the video as a whole.

Nah, don't worry about slop, if we let AI run farming autonomously, we'll be one or a few hallucinations away from massive crop failures.

Anyone got any idea of where the point of no return for corr.. lobbying is. Where's the point in time where this all went to shit and we couldn't recover anymore from this capitalist dystopia? Does even this go back to Reagan?

Great so the government is even trying to replace Farmers I wonder if there is anyone that they aren't going to make incredibly poor in an effort to make this stupid investment in computer science actually useful rather than just a psychotically huge waste of resources

Anyone shocked by this isn't paying attention. Farm land is being absolutely gobbled up by corporate interests, and at the same time, certain densely populated metropolitan areas are experiencing industrial and environmental disasters which are forcing people to evacuate. These things are connected. If these hungry ghosts keep getting their way, the Americans who survive what's to come will be living in refugee camps at the canadian border in 7-10 years. I won't be there, my disabled ass will be dead. But covid proved how little people care about folks like me. They'll find out how little the rest of the world cares about them soon enough.

Nature is wild and unpredictable only due to lack of humans to collect and also analyze all potential and available data that would inform successful agriculture. Corporations will try to control this 100% and they will eventually succeed if the infamous singularity doesn't somehow end humanity as we know it.
