I have used AI academically because I'm dyslexic to translate textbook language into simple dyslexic friendly language. But I don't support generative AI.

I really appreciate how it helps me interpret written language and concepts, but it shouldn't have become a source of entertainment, art, or socialisation.

I like that I can create quizzes using language that I can understand, but I don't like that people let AI do all the academic heavy lifting. I wish I didn't need assistance but unfortunately I do.

I don't think having an AI boyfriend/girlfriend is an inherently bad thing as long as you know they aren't real and it's just a form of "escapism" but if you start trying to profit from it or believe that they are actually "real" then that is indeed a bad thing.
