Acid House Kings – Advantage Acid House Kings – VINYL UNBOXING & ALBUM REVIEW
Andy from FensePost reviews and unboxes his copy of the 2012 reissue of Acid House King’s sophomore album Advantage Acid House Kings, which was originally released in 1997 on CD and 1998 on vinyl.
Acid House Kings hails from Sweden and includes brothers Niklas and Johan Angergård, and Joakim Ödlund. Having formed in 1991, the band set forth to release 3 albums in 10 years with a five-year gap between releases.
Advantage Acid House Kings was the second installment from that plan.
Andy talks about how Advantage was a step forward in production from the band’s debut LP, but it still retained a lot of those early twee and indie pop leanings.
He shows the record itself and notes that perhaps the lone way to decipher between the original vinyl release and this reissue is the presence of the Labrador Records logo on the back of the sleeve. The original vinyl release came out on Shelflife Records.
