This is a must-watch if you’re wondering why it seems like men today just can’t catch a break. In the next hour you’re going to get a break down of exactly how a generation of men are now poorer than their parents, feeling lost, broke, and still single.

To help me tackle this topic today is Professor Scott Galloway, the brilliant mind behind “No Mercy No Malice,” who has the uncanny ability to dissect the troubling trends facing modern men: less dating, no sex, being poor and not having meaningful relationships.

His take on the shifts in our modern culture and their impact on young men’s financial and emotional states is eye-opening. And while he’s not saying it’s time for male affirmative action, he is saying its seriously past time for real, actionable solutions.

Societal structures, from education to technology, are stacked against stacked men, and we exist in a society that shames men for their ambition, labels them toxic, avoids the uncomfortable questions and passively supports their financial and social frustrations.

We’re peeling back the layers to unveil why guys feel lost, hopeless, and lonely.

But here’s the thing—we’re not about wallowing in the problem; we’re chasing down solutions. From social media regulation and revamping AI governance, to hands-on vocational programs, we’re advocating steps to elevate men and, by extension, society.

Remember, your north star should be fulfilling and embrace the challenges. Without hard things to conquer, life just feels crappy. Prepare to get metaphorically taller and rediscover your purpose.

QUOTES:

“While boys are physically stronger, girls are emotionally and mentally much stronger. So, you have some societal factors producing emotionally weak men.”

“I think we’ve done a great job lifting women up, focusing and trying to address some of the injustices and biases that women have had to endure for a long time. I wouldn’t say that we’ve overcorrected, but I think that people don’t have a sympathetic ear to young men.”

“Empathy is not a zero sum game.”

“When you have a whole cohort of young men who are not going to college, not having the same economic opportunities and have no or little prospects for romantic relationships, you generate the most dangerous person in the world, and that is a lonely broke young man.”

“I’m a technology optimist, but I’m also worried that we’re so fascinated by technology and we suffer in the United States what I call an idolatry of innovators.”

“The cake has never been bigger, we’re just slicing it differently.”

“As parents we use so many sanitary wipes on our child’s lives that they don’t develop their own immunities.”

There are many reasons for this, the world has become more competitive and average education is not enough usually to achieve some success. Women have also taken a different role, they used to be the emotional support of families which is no longer true, also the relationships between men and women have changed and now women are more assertive, I would say too assertive in detriment of men's empowerment. Social media has also replaces personal intimacy with pseudo virtual connections (some folks have even pretended to establish a relationship with AI software). Drug consumption is another reason, i think it's now a much worse issue than it was some decades ago. The list may goes on, disfunctional families, loss of traditional values etc.

Since the early 1970s the American wealthy and political operatives have been waging an economic war against the American people to lower wages to increase profits for the wealthy. This is not some accident but rather a deliberate choice to make most Americans less wealthy than their parents.

We have not fallen behind. You give me the same incentives as where available from the 50's to the mid 80's like free college, stable interest rates, affordable housing, paying jobs, appliances that worked forever with 10 years of manufacturers guarantee, burgers for a quarter and gasoline for less then 1,50 per gallon. Heavily regulated banks (Glass Steagle) Decent mortgage entry requirements, foodprices that make sense, and somuch more. Give me all of this while having bought a home, have a wife, who if she so desired could stay at home to look after what hopefuly would be a pair of wonderfull children while I am driving in my non-rental-non-lease all mine and no one else's car to do 8 hour shifts in a mine or a Ford plant.

And then we will talk about why we dont give a shit anymore. Because right now I am offered, NONE of these things.

its even worse, I used to Dj and had plenty of skills socially and had plenty of relationships and now became a top tier developer and built first page ranking on google Saas software and still get treated like shit by woman my age and younger, only women who treat me well are already moms who I date and aren't in a position to build a life with me, and even then its like 50/50 on older women. the issue is worse than you talk about here sadly and women 40 and under have just been brainwashed to be terrible and bad citizens and no one ever says anything about it

@28:20 90% of AI productivity was produce in USA with best US schools but the majority of its students who went into STEM are Chinese and Indian students, not white, period! All America did was provided the foundation but clearly not the brains. Please stop taking credit for other countries' hard work and brain cells.

This guy talking about young men leaves you feeling the same as someone saying you're a dwarf among midgets. Every time he says anything even mildly not derogatory about men he HAS to qualify it by rising up women in the same dang sentence.

Im doing horrible at 30, and i cant figure out what i am supposed to do. I had to start working when i hit 18. The last 12 years have been just paycheck to paycheck. People forcing me out of employment i would otherwise enjoy. It just seems like im surrounded by enemies.

25:16 utterly BS ‘you have to to hard things because it’s evolution’ I said it before Tom and I say it again: you have some toxic masculinity going on and using your platform to spread it. It’s YOU and maybe a few others it’s not generalizable!! Your interview partner is so wise. Just listen and learn and stop that toxic sh. Im a Mom of a teenage son therefore like your guest said very interested in those kinds of discussions. Please spare my kids generation with this achiever or you’re worthless nonsense. Every other post of yours is that and once and for all it’s (hopefully) bs. Definitely doesn’t apply to most women and pretty sure it doesn’t apply to all men. Thank you

I am a young black male who has two college degrees and I will date when and with whom wants to date me. I don’t really have any interest dating in this country even though I have never been on a date. Whatever happens happens.

At 2:05…is the problem. He described literally being FORCED into submission….as a feminine attribute. Sir that's not a gift, nor an inherent trait. If that were true, or accurate, then why would it have to be conditioned or forced? There would not have been laws literally keeping women in the space you called "attributes" if it was a gift or inherently natural occurrence.

Prior to the sexual revolution, women desired men not because of how handsome or wealthy he was, but how hard of a worker he is and whether he will be a good father to her children. Those were the main characteristics that attracted women, hence why your grandfather and greatgrandfather could be a blue-collar worker or even poor and still get laid by the hottest women. Today, women care about superficial characteristics defined by social media. This decline began in the 60s.

Tom, don’t get dressed up for your guest or anything. The striped socks backwards hat bro look is working just fine for you to be taken seriously. 👍🏼

Found Scott's discussion with Rich Roll infinitely stronger than this one thanks to Rich, and I think Scott's comfort with Rich. Tom is too insecure to not bring himself and his ideas into these things to the point it is a distraction.

50:00 how about we change school altogether? instead of being forced to go to classes, make school a place where you can go to class, otherwise a place to make friends, work on your hobbies and interests, and participate in games and competitions

This guy is a clown when talking about the middle class. He’s clueless. It’s the printing of money and government overspending that is causing the middle class to shrink. The government is redistributing wealth to lower class which makes its way back to the top. Asset holders benefit during money printing. Everyone who listened to that part of the guys comment is dumber after.
