Fox News PANICS as Paxton COLLAPSES in Texas Senate Race!!

The TEC Show | August 8, 2026

Fox News is sounding the alarm as Democrat James Talarico gains momentum against Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race.

Multiple recent polls show Talarico narrowly leading Paxton, while prediction markets have moved the race toward toss-up territory. Even Fox News personalities are openly questioning Paxton’s campaign, asking why he isn’t doing more to prevent Republicans from losing a Senate seat in Texas.

In this video, we examine:

The latest Talarico–Paxton polling
Why Fox News is panicking about Paxton
Talarico’s growing fundraising and campaign momentum
The striking difference between the two candidates’ campaigns
Why winning Texas could transform Democrats’ path to Senate control

No poll currently establishes a clear leader because the results remain within the margins of error. However, the overall pattern shows significant momentum behind Talarico.

@TheTECShow — You do a very nice job with presenting videos.

I think the 2026 Democrats will win a majority-control pickup for the U.S. Senate.

I am sensing the 2026 Democrats may finish with a new majority of 53 seats. All their current 47 will end up retained.

    Probable order in pickups…

    48. North Carolina
    49. Maine
    50. Alaska
    51. Ohio
    52. Texas
    53. Iowa

    Nebraska is questionable.

But it would not surprise me if every Republican-held seat, which can feasibly flip Democratic, ends up materializing.

    Wave election-type result.

Historically, this is more common than some people realize.

I’m a lifelong Texan who has had all I can take with the Republican Party. We are exhausted from the hate, cruelty, violence bigotry and racism. This isn’t how Texans behave. Every year it is getting worse. James Talarico’s is restoring hope.

I just don't think Talarico will come out on top and that's no fault of his own. The majority of voters in Texas are really, really, really, really dumb and Paxton has an R next to his name.

I would love to be wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

trump is all about loyalty and does'nt care about skills, it shows when they are running, they just have to say Trump said to vote for me thank you. Once elected they have one job, ignore citizens and blindly obey to everything trump asks.

Polling across the entire social spectrum with n less than 800 is so unreliable you can basically throw darts and roll dice – no matter who is ahead in said poll. At 1,000 it is good, at 1,200 you get the best accuracy to effort ratio. At 2,000 it won't get much more accurate for a current snapshot of the environment, aside from actually holding an election and counting the votes.

It's all Trump that is causing the loss of elections, clueless FOX, but then I suppose you all finished at the top of your class, like your boss, but also like him you lie incessantly and have no class at all. Reporters are not supposed to win elections; they are to report what is true. Not lie to win an election just because they have an audience of brainless boobs, who will believe in whatever they say.

We must not underestimate DT and his Admin. They are right now working on how he will cheat to win in Nov. So Dems can't let their guard because DT is working on a lot of schemes in my opinion.

The republicans aren’t trying in Texas. I’m a Denton County resident. My county is the bellwether in Texas. Collin and Tarrant WILL flip. I’m telling you for a fact. Is it enough? Maybe.

Paxton is campaigning, yes. He is. BUT he’s not answering questions or properly doing townhalls. It’s literally photo ops.

I think Talarico will win. He is the perfect candidate as he knows what is important to voters. I am a progressive senior citizen in rural Tennessee and I am seeing a move away from Republicans and Trump here also. People are hurting.
    I love your stats.

James always has HUGE crowds… I saw a recent Paxton ( so called) rally on YT today, and it actually ( no exaggeration) looked like a wait at a local steakhouse that only had a 30 minute wait.
