I think the problem is it’s fine to be openly a dick as a DB not QB. You can behind the scenes but on the surface a QB needs to be polished in presentation but that’s not shaduers character. Hes raw and dgaf
He didn't really hold his teammates down, and I don't think they really loved him. He wasn't hated, but he was a shitty leader at the QB position. He'd blame, not hold teammates accountable. He'd deflect, not accept responsibility. He was an asshole in the film room, which has a place for sure, but only when the coaches beat your ass in front of the team too. But Deion doesn't do that.
The same thing happened to Ace Bailey. The idea that he knew he was a lottery pick and was trying to make the best decision for his career by stating teams he wanted to play for, got him called "entitled" and "ungrateful". Meanwhile, today he's on the Jazz and they tryna tank for another pick who will probably play his same position. Then everyone championed Vj Edgecomb for his generator story (and there's nothing wrong with that) but they compared VJ to Ace to make it seem like VJ was more deserving and it was all based on a narrative.
