I haven't played Xbox since Halo 5 guardians, since I was ranked. When they took away dual screen, I was out. Halo 3 is the best Halo, 4 was trash. 5 was good one year after launch, particularly the big team ones for 20 minutes like they had the matches, and especially FORGE maps with survival/zombies.

Destiny was okay. But it's not exclusive, and I even stopped that. When Activision made them change the game from the start to a stripped down version.

Crap games, crap deals at crap prices will wear people out eventually

What I think is a lot of failures under the previous management: almost all of their big games designed to sell Xboxes were failures, Xbox had the cheaper console option, S ,also available but Sony still clearly outsold them world wide, the everything is an Xbox was confusing and the products both not good and not true Xboxes which only lead to confusion, on top of that lately Xbox Series X was not even available for purchase here unlike Playstation that was available everywhere.

The old cheap gamepass was nice though, but probably not that profitable for them.

I’d be weary of using AI to summarize documents and articles since making up information is so prevalent with them. Especially if one plans to base a video solely off the summary.

This channel has turned into a low quality content farm as of late, dragging out fairly simple subjects for that watch time revenue and now spamming scammy ads. Time to unsub.

I remember the day I got into PC Gaming
I had an old Dell desktop inherited from the grandparents, think the tried-and-tested Mysterious Beige Box and you've got the idea
They also threw in a free CD for a game called Age of Empires 2, I had no idea what it was just that it had come with the Windows XP OS and time would prove it was a game I played easily for a thousand or so hours, still play the Definitive Edition these days, though with a bit of fond nostalgia for the old pixel art (and occasional accidental contrast mode in-game, thanks to the monitor I was using)

No idea where the CD went, reckon it probably broke somewhere down the line, but it's sad to reminisce about such a naïve and ambitious time for gaming nowadays

Poor Obsidian.. they have a thankless and impossible task ahead of them! If they save Xbox by basically making an actual good Fallout game and reviving the franchise without breaking the bank, Asha will take credit and move on and Obsidian will be back to normal. If they fail at this frankly impossible task, they will be ruined as a studio. All the good medium budget stuff we got from them since their acquisition will be whats left of their modern legacy. Xbox will wrap them up. What happened with Fallout & Bethesda is as much a warning as an opportunity for Obsidian.

“Using my sponsor’s product is cheaper than subscribing directly to ChatGPT/Claude because they buy api tokens in bulk”

Like anthropic and OpenAI doesn’t subsidize the heck out of their $20 subs. This guy advocates literal AI scams while acting like he’s the voice of truth when bashing AI companies he doesn’t like. Unsubbed

My adult son used to have an xBox and he hasn't touched his in years. I have a PS4 and haven't touched it in probably 2 years now (finally pulled the plug on my PS Plus subscription and lost all my "free" games). I have a SteamDeck and so does one daughter. Son has a Switch 2, and both daughters have Switch. Think you can see the trend. Not just xBox, Sony is in trouble too. Nintendo has and always will be fine due to exclusive IP.

I was subbed to xbox game pass until an error in their part delete my cloud save files and overwrite my local save files, losing hours of gameplay. The experience of difficulty in contacting anyone and asking for a help and eventually asking for a refund push me away forever and ever.

    Fuck microsoft.

TLDR: Xbox tried to turn games into a subscription to make extra money, but the entire customer-base for this is only paying because it's cheaper & can easily switch back if the prices rise, so the whole thing has been a money-sink

They wanted to exploit, but their customers weren't falling for it.

You kind of missed how a game is barely playable on the Series S with the low FPS as it struggles to render the game. Then the same game on the Series X is completely lackluster and looks like last gen games so it can be "playable" on the S. What a 4D chess move there Microslop.

Cloud is the only good thing here. Not everybody plays shooter games or even competitive games that need low latency. I have no problem playing xbox cloud games on my android tablet with a controller when travelling, also online with others.
