If any of these AI labs were genuinely concerned about the capabilities of their models, they would air-gap the facilities carrying out these tests.
Even nuclear enrichment sites in fairly undeveloped places like Iran and North Korea are air-gapped.

I have yet to see one thing that has become better with AI

I think it's even worse. They might actually trying to hack and steal data.
OpenAI have recruited Apple employees and during interviews they actually asked what kind of internal datas the candidates can bring over (!!)
@Wizegui
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
Even IF this wasn't staged, wsn't this more of a failure of the sandbox environment rather than the success of the AI agent?
@NLPexperts

Name a zero day discovered by AI and I will consider this isn't a Repeated marketing trick from a failing company that wasted 90 billion.

The "you have to pay us to protect you from threats we create" is the oldest business model in the world – every military and government runs on the same premise (and of course organized crime does as well). As does the entire IT security industry (e.g. antivirus vendors are the same people who create the viruses).

Nice to see someone else not falling for it.
OpenAI has been caught before in intentional industrial espionage. Why believe their excuses now?
@Patchrikc
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
I'm sure they both wanted this. Why, because OpenAi is able to sell their super duper weapon to the government. And hugging face get's to say look how good the models we host are at cyber defense now, we can't allow open weight models to be banned.

The real question is: When will Microsoft buy Huggingface?
@clray123
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
Well they are learning their marketing bs from Anthropic.
@JoeyJo-JoJuniorShabadoo-w1b
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
Totally agree with you that the whole incident appears staged. The doubts about AI are growing and the sector is starting to come under pressure in the market, so OpenAI may have thought they need a new attention-grabbing event that can turn the narrative back in their favor. Not saying it's certain, it just appears that way to me.

I'm glad the crypto government and doomsday-marketing ai companies are working together to automate warfare. Should be fine.

A lot of people should be in jail over the 2007 financial crisis. Let us never make that mistake again. When this blows up, I want all these con artists in prison for life. ALL OF THEM.

While they definitely turned it into a publicity stunt I think you underestimate the recklessness and incompetence of the C suite at these companies. They are among the most reckless and least competent business people in history

This will ultimately be used as a tool to wipe Epstein from the internet.
@xavloz
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
More than a marketing plot, it’s a posturing for the government to put safeguards requirements in place so it shuts access to Chinese and European models to the US market.
@Johann_Gambolputty_of_Ulm
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
Yeah, I saw that ** on main infoportals in my country too: "AI has broken loose" and similar doomsaying titles. And normies are swallowing it like pelicans. It's double scummy, because not only some of them will now think "it's a viable investment prospect", but also several of these poor sods will get even more depressive / paranoid about the near future
@dsnein
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
it gets even worse when you realize that is a PR response to anthropic having a similar incident a day before. openai is nothing but theater. they do the same thing with model releases. they sandbag stuff until it can be used to attempt to bury competitors stories. you can’t trust a word from them.

@EatRawGarlic
July 26, 2026 at 11:30 pm
My thoughts as well. It's OpenAI's response to Claude's recent Mythos fear mongering. And in the background, it might help lobbyists convince politics that AI is so powerful and dangerous, that it could be considered a national security asset, and a bailout would therefore be justified.

I've mentioned this in another video.
Before the Mythos release Anthropic was valued at around 365billion. During the Mythos drama they were in like a series G funding round. Post Mythos drama they get values at over 900 billion.
Altman wants the same thing. He's wanting the fear to spur his 1 trillion valuation

Such a skill issue of the guy who got his files deleted. Typical influencers, zero skills because otherwise that would've never happened. I've been using this shit for 2+ years and not once has that happened.

Hugging Face is happy they have been hacked. To the extend of asking for $100m for AI security, sounds fishy, they are not concerned, is that planned!

I love how Confident and authoritative @wallstreetmillennial wants to sound; But comes of as dumb & confused as to whether AI has any real commercial utilities or is AI a scam.
Even though this was a massive gain of function incident, where the model exhibited "superhuman" or "Alien" reasoning patterns, It the next video @wallstreetmillennial is gonna rant about how dumb or useless AI is.
I guess he needs to sell something to his Perma Bears.
