This was one of the first kids shows with a Black lead I saw when I was young and I loved this show so much! Lee Thompson Young was a genuine inspiration and makes me proud to know he has such a hand in his show and was dedicated to his craft. It broke my heart to hear of his passing. He influenced a whole generation. Thank you for making this video. There are still folks out there who haven't forgotten The Famous Jett Jackson.

the only mistake this show made was the lead actor committing suicide in his 30s from depression of how the fame from this show was short lived

I hated Disney Channel, but this show was halfway decent… i was really getting invested in “Flash Forward” before it got cancelled

One episode I remember is when JB signed Kayla up for a black artist award and her dad was uncertain about being there since he's white. As a person in an interracial relationship, I still think of that one. The episode where the producers of Silverstone wanted to start having g*ns and Jett considered walking out was also a great episode

I remember the episode where he had to deal with a fan that was obsessed with him. He said something to her that hurt her feelings and by the end of the episode, he apologized to her. RIP Lee Thompson Young ❤️🕊️

I had a big crush on Lee Thompson Young. I even had posters of him on my bedroom wall. I was so shocked when I found out how he died. RIP Lee Thompson Young.

I loved this show, although I was outside of the target demographic (I was 17 when it premiered). I had THE biggest crush on Lee Thompson Young. Looking back on it now, the social commentary from the show is relevant today as it was a couple of decades ago. I was both shocked and sad when I found out that he has passed away; someone so young passing in that manner is always a tragedy. Plus he was one of the child stars that was able to make the transition to an adult acting career without falling into the usual trappings (alcoholism, substance abuse, etc.)

I watched this show as a kid. I love the 90's! So happy to be a 90's kid! Famous Jett Jackson was ahead of it's time. The topics they explore sticks with you. Amazing. So heartbreaking about lee thomas young, first time i heard I was in high school. After school i would go to the library I was in a reminisce thinking of all the shows This one popped in my head that was when I heard. I was shocked. You never know what is going on with people behind the scenes. RIP. The show is here on youtube all 3 seasons along with the movie. 90's baby!!

The Famous Jett Jackson was an incredibly important show for me.

Being able to see a show about a Black child grappling with balancing his dual existence, meant the world to me as someone who understood the many different lifestyles it's possible to live through even at a young age.

That and the show was just a blast of fun.

While I understand why Disney moved on from shows of this Down to earth nature, honestly I don't think they ever made another show of this quality after Lizzie McGuire.

I wish Disney would just suck it up and just buy out the rest of the rights so a new generation can experience a show, that not only had multiple fun episodes but showcases social commentary that has aged beautifully even by today's standards.

Losing Lee Thompson Young was a difficult blow that even now I'm not sure how to make sense of, but I'm glad we have something like this show to remember him by, and videos such as these that make sure he's never forgotten.

When the original nick crowd starting growing up and moving on so they started making heavier social engineering that no one liked – felt forced Corny and weird – Then you find out the amount of creeps in that company and what they were up to. Makes perfect sense.

I was little when Jett Jackson was airing, so it was a fever dream. But whoa, the plot was basically Hannah Montana 😅 but almost a decade before 🙂‍↕️
