Why Loser Trump Melted Down In Front of Me: Wolff | Inside Trump’s Head

The Daily Beast | July 19, 2026

Michael Wolff and Joanna Coles confront one of the most unsettling questions of Donald Trump’s presidency yet, arguing that his relentless fixation on the 2020 election may be more than political theater as they explore what it could mean for a commander in chief they believe has lost his grip on reality. They break down Trump’s increasingly erratic speech, the networks that refused to air it, the growing influence of Natalie Harp, the mystery surrounding Melania Trump’s disappearance from public view, and the latest controversies engulfing Truth Social. They also trace the subtle but unmistakable ways JD Vance is positioning himself for a post-Trump Republican Party through his comments on Iran, Jeffrey Epstein, and Joe Rogan’s podcast, while examining the power struggles and shifting loyalties that could define the months ahead.

Give me a break Joanna and Michael. It’s globing warming STUPID. Forest fires occur everywhere in the world and we all share the oxygen in the atmosphere. You are joining those idiotic Michigan Republicans who had the AUDACITY and STUPIDITY to write a letter threatening and berating Canada. Your idiotic President wrote ridiculous threats online. You didn’t talk about that. It was oh, poor me I had some chest congestion and Micheal is not seeing his beach view. Grow up you selfish babies. Take some science courses. Educate yourself. Congratulations you became a clone of Trump’s brain.
    VIVE LE CANADA. 🇨🇦

Mary Trump says it best when she describes how Donald Trump was brought up by Fred to this mantra…."Trump's Don't Lose" so he simply cannot process loss and defaults to the twisted logic that if he lost , they cheated him…..he is pathologically destined to cling to this mentality

    CLIMATE CHANGE
After Trump has been thrown out on his ear, or maybe his diapered hind end, we’re going to have to get serious about climate change.
And I think the United States and Canada,as an interim way of dealing with all this, are going to have to put a lot of effort into managing wildfires.
We can do anything if we work at it intelligently and in a unified way.
But we’re going to have to learn how to get the upper hand with these fires WHILE we turn the volume down on climate change.

I'm quite sure everyone working in the White House knows Trump is mentally ill. I just wonder what he sees when he looks the mirror or have they all been covers so he doesn't have to see himself, in an attempt to keep the illusion that he is young and viral?

Michael: There actually WAS a time when Trump admitted to a chosen few that he knew he lost the 2020 election. A few of them testified under oath saying that very thing at the January 6 Committee Hearings. Perhaps his dementia is so advanced now that he truly believes his own lies.

You're right about Limbaugh. I almost forgot about the guy. I used to listen to him on my lunch break just to get a sense of what was going on with the right. I remember the pillow guy ads.

I'm in CT and it did feel apocalyptic. If I didn't know it was freaking smoke from Canada, I would have thought it was a possible tornado! It's not nice to fool Mother Nature as far a Canada is concerned!

BTW, your show keeps getting better. I enjoy the repartee between you both.

What is with Michael Wolff's constant disparaging of Obama? Let's remember he was chummy enough with both Mr Trump and Mr Epstein to get his books written. Never said said anything bad about them at the time. Smh. Both he and Joanna are woefully out of touch with grounded reality.

Personally, I don't think Trump is a man who like to kill people and destroy. I think he really meant it that wars in foreign countries would not happen with him as president. He often said after his first term he was the first president who had not sent young Americans to die in far away countries. Another reason can be that he was just too greedy to start wars as it's not cheap.
Then the Epstein issue happened and he had to find ways to take the attention from that. When he ordered to have Maduro captured he was impressed of this military operation and even thought it was fun too and probably felt unbeatable. But then Epstein came in focus again and he had to do something new and he was easy to persuade to go for Iran without considering the risks.
I think his personality and judgement really has changed due to his brain disease. The main reason for the war in Iran is still Epstein. Now he has no other interest than to remain president of USA regardless of how many are killed and how much destruction he is causing. If he ever had any empathy it's completely gone. I am from Sweden and I wonder what a US president really need to do to be forced from his position? A completely mad man in charge for the biggest amount of nuclear weapons in the world. What more must he do to finally lose his power? It concerns the whole world.
