John Corabi Out Of The Dead Daisies… Did He Quit Or Was He Fired?

The Hair Metal Guru | July 15, 2026

John Corabi is officially out of The Dead Daisies, but the circumstances surrounding his departure have left fans with more questions than answers. After recently saying he was told the band would be taking a year off while he promoted his solo album New Day, Corabi was surprised to see Glenn Hughes fronting the band at a recent show. Then came The Dead Daisies’ statement suggesting Corabi made the decision to leave. So what really happened? In this video, we break down the timeline, discuss whether Corabi quit or was fired, and talk about why communication within rock bands so often goes off the rails. Dead Daisies aren’t even a band. Just a vanity project. Can anyone name a Dead Daisies song? But glad for Crabby, Aldrich, etc…for getting some cash and getting to tour like the big time

John Corabi is great and his new album is a no skips for me. The Dysfunctional Daisies can do what they want but definitely not as good without Corabi. Hope it works out for him whatever he decides to do. Best Channel on YouTube. Thanks

I saw The Daisies in Aug 2017 in Bmore. Lineup was Corabi, Marco Mendoza, Delicious Doug Aldrich and Brian Tichey. I was in the rail and got a few pics and miss faces from Mendoza and Corabi. None from Doug. ( Sad face) I was right of stage and Doug was left and he did not move. Great show!!!!

It's a hired gun band that is funded by some rich kid, which is a complete joke. It's much like this kurt deimer guy who phil x used to play for who completely sucked , but he had money and would pay big players to play for him

I wondered if they didn't like when John said he didn't know if he was in or out of the band and he was okay with it either way. I wonder if it seemed to them like John wasn't bothered. personally I Love John as a singer. I would hire him if i had a band.

Great discussion about this situation. First, I agree with Patrick that the "Fortunate Son" version the Dead Daisies do is awesome. My favourite song the have is "Hypnotize Yourself" …. it's killer! Check it out if you don't know it!
Great report on this news by two of the best in Metal news updates 🤘

David Lowey definitely is the boss and financially backs it from what I understand. I’ve heard Doug Aldrich talk about it. And maybe members are paid well enough for them to keep returning.
