John Cooper is right. Rage "For" the Machine are sell-outs, Cardi B etc. are disgusting and they are trying to portray good for evil. God bless Skillet. He's also right about deconstructionism, it is EVIL.

I totally stopped to listening to one of my favorite bands when they named their new album after the confederate flag. Reminds me of when I went to Ageles Crest Camp and a darling little girl wanted me to go to kkk meeting, and I was a loner, so that was mind blowing. I think Def is a supporter of femenist, so another disappointment. I gave their album with the snake to a fellow employee I liked once after going to the concert. I thought they were calling me a snake. Now I know they are the snake.

I know Skillet is a Christian band and have heard quit a few of their songs. For them to be in the middle of controversy about faith based issues concerning the condition of the world and also the condition of the present Christian community tells me that he (Cooper) must be doing something right. Jesus was in constant opposition of the "religious community for how they were appearing outwardly holy but inside they were just as wicked as the world. I applaud him for standing up for his faith in Jesus. I just hope that they never lose sight of God bc of their success. Music is music but the message is key. Music draws you in but they lyrics are what forms or just reenforces your worldview. The reason WAP was so popular is bc so many ppl already had that mindset and it just reenforced what they were already thinking and doing.

i dont care what anyone says, yes they are cheesy, yes they are corny but their music was the soundtrack of my teenage angst and the dude's voice is really really unique and cool sounding.

    Always loved John
Never afraid to speak his mind and stand up for his true values and what he believes in
His music literally changed not only my taste in music, but my life as well and is why I became a metalhead myself

Skillet was my favorite band ever since I heard them on the WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 soundtrack. I lost my faith in the mid 2010’s but I stuck with them because they used to say they made music that wasn’t explicitly about religion. Any song about god could easily be interpreted as about a family member or loved one. I have the album art for Rise tattooed on my arm because that album really did save my life

But sometime around Victorious, they seemed to change that stance, changing their music to be more overt about religion. Which is absolutely fine, but that just wasn’t for me. So I stopped listening as much aside from my favorite songs. But it just kept going downhill more and more, going beyond simple disagreements. So now I find it hard to listen to them at all

I’ve pretty much disconnected from them entirely now. I still have the tattoo and I don’t plan on getting it covered or removed because it’s not so much about the band, but how the album helped me. But I can’t say it doesn’t bring a little disappointment at the same time. I’m not sure if calling it a “downfall” is entirely accurate, but that’s the best word I can think to describe it. It’s just sad to see

I'm sorry but nobody can say with a straight face that Rage Against The Machine is anti establishment. John Cooper's position is not what is controversial, it is Rage Against The Machine's stance that is controversial.
It's not even up for debate. It is a fact that Rage Against The Machine is pro establishment, pro corporation, pro propaganda, and they are authoritarian extremists.

What has happened here is you don't understand anything biblical. You don't understand the history and the story of the Bible. You don't understand the cohesive nature of it. You don't understand what it says to do and what it says to not do what it says to walk wholeheartedly into and the things it tells us to have no part of what John Cooper is doing should be applauded by any firm. Bible-believing Kingdom yearning Christians. He is standing firm on the word in saying exactly what the word tells us to do. Calling out evil and having no part of it but because the secular world just sees it as someone trying to cause problems. You have no understanding of what he is doing and the incredibly honorable nature of how he is doing it to stand firm on his values in his god-given morals and not giving in to the world standing firm in front of all of those that view him even willing to suffer loss to be as he calls it. The rebels standing against Jesus was the rebel coming standing against the fake pseudo religious establishment that also hijacked the the texts to manipulate them and make themselves feel good and powerful. Pray is that rebel we're willing to suffer loss for heavenly gain, Don't fear those who can destroy the body fear he who can destroy the soul
