I Know the Truth About Trump’s Demented Greed | Inside Trump’s Head
Michael Wolff and Joanna Coles unpack what Wolff argues is a fundamental misunderstanding of Donald Trump—not simply that he profits from power, but that he genuinely believes he deserves to, tracing what they call a mindset driven as much by grievance and revenge as greed. They examine the Trump family’s latest business entanglements, the growing controversy over self-dealing, the fallout from the Supreme Court’s latest decisions, and why Trump appears increasingly fixated on changing election rules as new polls point to political trouble ahead. The conversation also tackles the escalating crisis in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump’s handling of Iran and Ukraine, his relationship with Vladimir Putin, and the strategic blunders they believe could reshape both America’s standing abroad and the coming midterm elections.

Guys, you are both exceptionally brilliant today. Michael IS inside Trump's head and Joanna is the perfect foil.

We are not trying to fill roles for a movie, I don't care how Newsome and his wife look. I want a candidate that can win and I'm not convinced. Newsome had lots of baggage and I don't think his social media has made him look presidential

50:33 – the notion that America needs a president who is “good on social media” or quick with a rhetorical barb, drives me absolutely bonkers. What we need is a serious person who puts their head down and does their effing job, without insisting on being the center of attention! I long for four years of not hearing from the president, when things actually operate smoothly. Andy could do that.

I have seen the suggestion elsewhere that as soon as the midterms are done, it will all kick off in Iran. This is, allegedly, what Netanyahu wants.

Oh we care about trumps corruption and theft. We just can't do anything about it right now. Accountability will come for all these criminals.

If Trump is a sex abuser, as you say, shouldn't his name go on a sex register?

Shopping in person is better than using apps, they charge different prices based on what they believe the individual consumer will pay (based on data they’ve collected about you)

Michael w is wrong. Russia has kompromat on him, it's soooo obvious, why deny it? If it was all about size, why impose the huge sanctions on china (and none on russia)? Why threaten canada (which is bigger than the us? Etc)

Upon reflection, Mr. Wolfe does on occasion come up with telling insights into and examples of our Chief Executive’s lunacy/dementia. But listening to him is like breathing thru heavy cotton; it takes work and soon gets wearing. How does anyone who stutters and backtracks like that wind up in front of a microphone? He’s much better placed in front of a keyboard. I’ve read his books and they are very good. His oratory is not. (True, no one has a gun to my head making me listen to him. Joanna is the draw and well worth the time).

Haha please never stop being so passive-aggressive about each other; it makes the show what it is. I could get the facts and gossip somewhere else, but the Michael Wolf and Joanna Coles energy is what makes it a routine ^^

Joanna, you are fun and I enjoy this podcast. But I love how Michael routinely bust your balls every time you say something elitist. I don’t know if your commentary about drinking fine wines and visiting Paris and hobnobbing with important people is just who you are, or if it’s part of your on-camera stick, but it would do you well to pivot away from that stuff. In the most cynical interpretation, it feeds Republican narratives about how media is liberal and full of overeducated elitists. And anyhow, the daily beast is a great resource for information and you guys do a categorically good job with everything you’re putting out. Inside Trump’s head is by far the best series you have launched. I don’t think you need to say anything self aggrandizing for yourself, because your profile is solid and there’s no need to build on it. I think just let your guest, and in this case Michael, as well as the information you all are sharing, do the talking for itself.
